"And what exactly are you doing?"

Don jumped at the voice, his heart skipping a beat. Scrambling to put everything back into place, his attention turned towards the source of it. Unfortunately for him, it was exactly who he didn't want to see. DDawn stared at him with a sense of rage, which Don didn't want to deal with. An angry DDawn was not a nice one.

He didn't even respond to the question, instead continuing to stare like a deer caught in headlights. The robot sighed before taking a hold of the hand that had the computer chip in it.

"First of all, what are you doing? Secondly," he trailed off. DDawn seized the chip and looked at it closer. He was never really good at express any emotion other than anger and irritation, but Don could tell that his expression was one of realization.

"Duni set you up, didn't he?" He asked, his gaze returning to the shorter male.

"I...well,"

"Don't fucking stutter, Don. I know he did, he's the only one I know who access to this type of chip other than myself. And I know you and your friends wouldn't even think about touching me unless they were set up,"

"He did, okay!" Don admitted. There was no point in arguing or keeping it a secret anyways; DDawn would've found out either way.

"Typical. Let me guess, you were bribed with freedom?" He nodded as a response. DDawn groaned. "I swear I made you to be smarter than this. You're a fucking idiot,"

"He literally ripped the contract in front of me," he defended, Duni was obviously not a good person, but he had to keep his word after that.

"If he really did cancel the contract, you'll never feel complete again. I made you to serve him and you'll only ever feel complete with something like that,"

"Why are you telling me this? Don't you hate me or something?"

"Oh, believe me. I fucking hate you and I relish in your suffering, but honestly, telling you this will only cause you to suffer more,"

Don thought for a moment. Was DDawn telling the truth or was he just lying to gain his trust? He wouldn't put it past him.

"Okay, but why does Duni want you to die so badly?"

"I don't think you can comprehend it, and it's not because of your idiocy. All I'll tell you is that he knows that I have it out for him and I know you three won't step in to stop either of us," well, if he was right about one thing, it would be that. No one would think about sparing the bastard's life, mainly because Duni has wronged everyone somehow.

"Fine! Just at least tell me what to do now! I have to kill you, but you already figured it out!"

"What the hell do you think I am, someone you can ask for advice?" He did have a good point.

"No, but at least tell me if you think I'm really free!"

"My honest opinion is that you are because Duni knows that you'll suffer more being free but alone and incomplete,"

There's a few moments of silence.

"Leave. I don't want you here anymore," Don clenched his fists. There had to be another way! If he didn't kill the person in front of him, Duni would do something horrible. Even though he was free, his friends weren't. Who knows what would happen to them.

He needed to do something.

He punched DDawn square in his visor, the glass cracking under the pressure. The redhead stumbled back, dropping the chip in the process. Don quickly grabbed it before yanking out the identical chip from the port.

"What the fuck, D-!" DDawn managed to shout out before his system shut down. He fell to the floor, the glass cracking even further. As soon as Don shoved in the new chip, the robot made a soft whirling noise before it started back up. Fortunately for him, the body didn't move from the ground.

And from there, Don left, knowing that he had a better future than before.

To my readers,

Thanks for sticking around this long on a story that I wasn't even sure anyone would read. This is the end of it, and I know it's a little inconclusive, but trust me, it's better than the original script. I'll be done with the first chapter of my next big story soon, but I can't guarantee it'll be out by next week. I'll be taking a school trip next week, so I won't be able to update it even if I post the first chapter.

With most sincerity,

- Litz
