We got to the cafeteria, and separated into our groups. He went to Calum and Michael, and I went to Kaitlin and Ina. I saw the two waiting for me at our spot that we always sit at. Kaitlin saw me as I came closer.

Kaitlin jumped off of the bench with excitement. "LERIN! I SAW YOU WALK IN THE LUNCHROOM WITH LUKE! OH MY GOSHHH!!!" she said loudly, while doing her weird 'flapping arms' dance.

"Shhhhh! You're talking too loud," Ina whispered, while pulling Kaitlin back down on the bench. "So... where were we? Oh yeah... OH MY GOSH LERIN! HE SOOO LIKES YOU, DOESN'T HE?!"

"Shhhh! Now you're being too loud." I yelled at Ina. They're so loud and obnoxious, but I still love them. Hahaha.

"So what were you two talking about? Huh? HUH?" Kaitlin said while repeatedly making her eyebrows go up and down.

"Oh. Nothing really," I said, looking down. Kaitlin and Ina were raising their eyebrows. They had this look in their eyes that said, "We know you're lying, so tell us now." They held the look until I finally told them. "Fine. It was Amber and her stupid group..."

"OH NO SHE DIDN'T! WHERE'S THE PUTA?! IMMA BEAT HER UP FOR YOU." Kaitlin said angrily. Ina just laughed. "No but seriously. Where is she? I don't see her or her idiots sitting at their table."

"I don't know. They're probably in the bathroom, fixing their makeup. I'm just glad that Luke was defending me [sighs]." I still can't believe he defended me. Or even talked to me.

"Oh yeahhhhh...Luke defended you! How did that start in the first place?" Ina asked, anxiously waiting for me to tell them.

"Well before I even tell you... WE'RE IN THE SAME MATH CLASS. AND HE SITS NEXT TO ME!" Kaitlin and Ina were screaming.

"The feels!" Ina said, while clasping her hands onto her face.

"Anyways, back to pine cones... (A/N: Sorry. It's another inside joke.) Luke was considering switching out of that class, but I convinced him to stay. Okay. Now that that's out of the way, I can tell you how the Amber thing started." Kaitlin's eyes were lit up like a fire as soon as I mentioned Amber's name. I continued on with the story. "I was walking with Luke to the cafeteria...here, when suddenly Amber saw us. She started flirting with Luke and dissing me. Then sh-"

"OH HECK NAWWWWW...." Kaitlin interrupted. "What did the puta say?"

"She said things like 'Ew. Who is she?' and that nobody is dumb enough to wear this shirt but me." I said, frowning. Kaitlin got up, and was about to walk towards the bathroom.

"Be right back. Imma kill this thot and her idiots," Kaitlin said as she started walking away. Ina pulled her back down.

"Let Lerin finish the story first," Ina said generously. Kaitlin looked at me, waiting for me to finish the story. "What did Luke say?" Ina asked.

"Oh...right. Luke... He said that I'm smarter than she'll ever be and that Amber is just jealous. Aaaand Luke also put his arm around me." Kaitlin and Ina gasped.

"OOH HE LIKES YOU..." Kaitlin and Ina both said at the same time. I kinda just rolled my eyes, but in reality, I was thinking, HECK YEAH HE DOES!

We continued the conversation, and talked about our new classes, teachers, and of course... boys. Soon enough, the bell rang. Calum came over to walk with Kaitlin to their next class, and me and Ina just went our separate ways. We went to our last two classes, and the school day was over. BAM! Just like that, the first day of school was at an end, and I survived. I didn't know what to think of today. It was bittersweet; good because of Luke, but bad because of stupid Amber.

(A/N: Sorry...this chapter was kinda boring, but now you know a little more about Lerin's weird friends, Kaitlin and Ina. I promise the next chapter will be more interesting.)
