"Nico and  the Niners," Tommy sang softly.  He had that song stuck in his head all day, thanks to his friends.  He sighed, staring at his math homework.  School was just about over, and Tommy could finally focus on whats really important.  Man Hunt.  It wasn't even summer yet and Tommy already spent sleepless nights thinking over his plans and finalizing them with his bestest friends in the whole world.  Tommy crumbled up the paper and threw it into the trash can, watching it land with a tiny little thud.  There was a creak in the floors, and soon he heard someone walking.  He stood up quickly, having a moment of panic.  He needed to get out of his house before someone starts yelling again.  There was a loud thud, and immediately someone started yelling.

Tommy bit his lip, and quickly climbed out of his window.  He had a quiet morning, but as soon as his parents were up, he hid in his tree house.  Tommy walked across the roof, taking deep breaths as his parents starting screaming.  He jumped off and landed on the ground and quickly climbed up the ladder and into one of the safest places he had ever been in.  He sat down on a mattress that was placed on the floor and closed his eyes.  His hands clenched so hard that his nails dug into his hands, leaving red marks on his palms.  He turned and layed on his stomach, grabbing a pillow and screaming into it so loudly that for the first time in years, he cried freely.  Usually he only had a few tears and kept everything in, but its been years.  Tommy felt as if he had no family.

His brother, Kyle, was 20 and worked in a hardware store.  He was an asshat, and didn't care one bit about Tommy.  Even though Tommy disliked his brother, a brother was a brother.  Kyle had gotten Tommy in so much trouble over the past years, because when he was younger he wanted to be just like Kyle.  But Tommy is now 15, and realized that Kyle wasn't exactly a good role model.  Kyle got Tommy into things he shouldn't have gotten into, now they are a habit from the pain of his broken family.  His parents were always so disappointed in Kyle and Tommy, that they didn't even seem to care anymore.  Whenever the police was at their house for either of them, they just apologize to the cops and completely ignore their two kids.  As soon as the cops leave, they start yelling at each other over the stupidest things.

Tommys mother and father haven't really noticed anything about Tommy, they didn't really care.  It was painful, coming home from school without a 'Hello Darling, how was school?'.  It was never like that, it was more like 'get the hell out of my way; as his father is usually rummaging through the fridge for more alcohol.  He knew what started the fighting, but Tommy didn't have the heart to think about it.  But his parents couldn't care less about their son, for they didn't notice he had tattoes.  They didn't notice the porn in his room.  They didn't notice he drank.  They didn't notice he smoked.  They didn't notice anything.

Tommy rolled over onto his back, and stared at the ceiling.  Summer was only a day away, and Tommy and his friends could play man hunt and find crap to do.  Tommy smiled, thinking about his friends.  yeah, he thought, my friends are losers. Tommy thought of all the great times he had with his friends, and even though they were losers, they were his losers.

He closed his eyes, rolling onto his side as the yelling in house went silent, meaning his parents had gone to sleep.  He was excited to finally be happy.  And hopefully get to third base.
