"Holy shit..." i muttered.  my hands ran through my hair as i thought of everything that could go wrong.  I looked over at Mae, who was looking around the tree house in disgust.

She cringed and looked over at me.  "How do you stand being in here?"

I laughed and leaned against the wall. "You get used to it."

"Dee, you've been here twice," Eats rolled his eyes.

I looked over at him.  "And how much of a fuck do i care?"

"The first time she came here, she punched me in the face," Eats smirked, looking at Mae.  She slowly sat down, looking grossed out.  I saw Eats's eye wander all over her, and i lifted my hand and smacked him really hard on the arm.  He looked over at me in pain.  "What the hell?  Stop hitting me."

"Stop checking out my friend," i hissed in his ear.  He rolled his eyes and turned to Mae.  "So what happened."

"Uhm," Mae looked at the four boys.  "First...can you introduce me to these...boys?"

"Oh yeah," i laughed.  "This is Eats the idiot," i pointed at him sitting next to me and he pretended to bite my finger.  "This is Davey Armstrong," i pointed at Davey who was sitting next to Eats.  "Farraday," i nodded to Curtis who sat on the opposite side of me.  "And thats Woody," i pointed at Woody who was sitting right next to her.  He waved and she gave him a light awkward smile.

"Nice to meet you, Mae.  I've heard about you from school, why did you drop Jen-"

"Woody!" i hissed. He muttered a sorry.  "Anyway, do you want to tell us what happened?"

"Well," she started.  She looked around at the boys uncertain.

Davey smiled at her.  "You can trust us, Mae."  She nodded.

"Last night, my brother was left home alone.  My parents went out with a couple of friends while i went to sleepover at my cousins house.  I knew it was a bad idea to leave him alone... i told my parents he should come with me, or go to a friends house but since he's older than me he will do 'just fine'.  I couldn't contact him at all last night because my friend didnt want me using her phone for some stupid ass reason so i was worried and then..." she trailed off, wiping her tear away.  "when i got home, i walked in and no one answered and no one was there.  i ran through the house calling for my parents and for Dusty but there was no answer.  So i grabbed my bike and rode down to town left a note just in case someone came home while i was looking for them.

"i saw my mom in the supermarker, in the middle of the icecream section lying on the floor, sobbing.  I saw my dad run towards her, and i drove into the parking lot really fast and just threw my bike in a spot and ran in.  i ran to my parents and they told me that they couldn't find Dusty anywhere and then this lady was standing there and i asked her what happened and this lady said that she saw dusty walk out of the house with someone last night and that was it." Mae was now sobbing and i got up and walked over to her and hugged her.

"Alright Mae.  I'll walk you home," i put my hand on her back and she nodded and walked towards the exit.

"You aren't staying and talking about this Dee?" Woody asked, even more uncomfortable than usual.

I looked back at the four boys.  "I'll be right back."

We climbed down the ladder and walked out of Eats house.  "Don't ever take me there again," Mae shivered and brushed herself off.

"What?"

"I mean, why did you have to take me there?  If Jen finds out that we were in Eats's treehouse let alone be near him she will kill us," Mae sighed, as we continued walking.  We passed my house and kept walking.  "I don't really like those boys, well except Davey.  He's nice."

"What about Woody?"

"Hes just so creepy, i dont understand why hes always uncomfortable and awkward."

"Farraday?"

"A total nerd, super freaky and always stares at me and Jen."

"And i can guess why you hate Eaton."

"Eats... well he's the worst.  I can't stand him, hes broken Jens heart so many times and like talked dirtily about all of us so many times.  He said he wanted to take away our virginities each individually but at the same time.  Also she said the same thing about Farraday, hes disgusting!  They all are!  They stare at us all the time and say things about us and probably jerk off in their beds thinking about us. But the worst part is that Farraday made some thing up about Jen just so she would talk to him and spread it throughout the school by telling Davey to write it on all of the newspapers!"

"Mae," i stopped and looked at her.  "Who told you all of this?"

"Jen."

"She's feeding you false information.  I mean, They probably said the thing about your virginities but the thing about Eaton breaking Jens heart?  he would cling onto her with all of his life if it meant sex.  he's not popular, so who would care?  Jen is popular would try to look cool by doing that, he isn't actually as bad as everyone thinks he is.  And the fact that Davey would never do anything like that, hes the sweetest guy i've ever met in my entire life. And Farraday?  Heh as enough courage to talk to her himself."

"Are you like in love with them or something?"

"What the hell Mae?  I can't stan him either but at least i dont make up false information about him to make myself feel better about my own failures.  Once you stop believing everything Jen says and get over yourself and stop being so obsessed with her, we can talk but until then... don't call."

I turned on my heel and left Mae standing there and walked back in the direction where i came from.  I continued walking and didn't look back until i got to Eat's house.  I wiped a tear from my face.  What was i doing?  i could of just ruined my only good friendship, why would i protect those idiots inside that treehouse?  She was right, they all were probably talking about how they can see down my shirt.
