The Ravagers stand before you and Peter, still in a tricky position. They aim their weapons at you, ready to shoot, and you just blink at them in confusion. You are unsure where you are and whose ship this is. Keeping their guns on you, they pull Peter off of you and slam him against the wall. Instantly, you get up and try to defend him, wanting to save him like all of those times he saved you. But, to your disgruntlement, they hold you back.

The Ravagers pin Peter harder up against the wall, Yondu striding over to him. He slugs him in the stomach and Peter lets out a painful grunt. At the sight of him hurting, you struggle harshly against their tight grip, quickly running out of energy. "You betray me, boy?" Yondu says, punching him again. "Steal my money?"

"Stop it! Leave him alone!" You yell, being yanked back.

"When I picked you up as a kid, these boys wanted to eat you. They ain't never tasted Terran before," Yondu announces, smacking Peter in the face and grabbing his chin to look him directly in the eyes. You wince at his pain. "I saved your life!"

Peter shakes his head in frustration. "Would you shut up about that?" He spits. "God, twenty years you've been throwin' that in my face like it's some great thing not eating me. Normal people don't even think about eatin' someone else, much less that person having to be grateful for it!" His expression changes as he stares right at Yondu. "You abducted me, man. You stole me from my home and from my family." His voice wavers, the sadness from the memories falling upon him in one big wave.

"You don't give a damn about your Terra! You're scared because you're soft in here," Yondu shouts, striking his chest and referring to his heart. "Here, right here!" He shoves his hands on Peter's chest, tugging on the end of his jacket and pushing him back against the wall with a thud. He tries to keep an angry face, but you can tell he is hurting badly. You want to run out to him and care for him, tell him everything's going to be okay. But, you know it's not.

"Yondu, listen to me," you call out to the man, gaining his needed attention. "Ronan has the orb. It has something inside of it, called an Infinity Stone," you yammer.

Yondu faces Peter again but continues to listen to you speak. "I know what he's got, girl."

"Well, then you know we have to get it back!" You cry. "Gamora told me he's gonna use it to wipe out Xandar. We have to warn them, or billions of people...th-they will die." The mere thought of this haunts you, stinging every part of your body in pain. Peter hates hearing the sadness in your voice and he wants nothing more than to hold you close at this moment. You and Peter are in this together and he is going to do everything in his power to save you and the people of the galaxy. You both have to do whatever it takes to stop Ronan.

"Is that what she's been filling your head with, boy? Sentiment? Eatin' away your brain like maggots!" Yondu interrogates Peter, slapping him after each statement. "That's it," he states with a whistle.

A red arrow darts from Yondu's hip and stops right at the edge of Peter's neck. He moves his head as far away as he can from it, the fear in his eyes peering at the bright, red flames of the arrow. It follows him, not retreating from his neck.

"No!" You wail, pulling from the ravagers as hard as you can, but it's impossible to escape their hold on your wrists.

"Sorry, boy, but a captain has gotta teach his men what happens to those that cross him."

"Captains gotta teach stuff!" Hollers Yondu's right-hand man, Kraglin. All of the Ravagers cheer as Yondu walks within the circle they've formed around Peter.

Peter bites his lip back in anticipation for the arrow to cut his throat. Your eyes start to fill up and you desperately wish that it doesn't end this way. You've seen the brink of death with Peter many times in the past few days but it can't end like this. You want more time with Peter, a lifetime even. It's hard to imagine never getting the chance to live out the rest of your days on the Milano with Peter Quill by your side.
