"Kore!" Demeter called out to her beloved daughter, today is Persephone's coming-of-age celebration. After 18 years, she finally became a full-fledged goddess.
Persephone walked outside of her room, peeking out to look at her mother, "How are you doing, my dear? Are you all ready?" her mother asked with a sweet smile, Demeter had always been known as a very hands-on mom, except... she can get a bit too extreme.
Asteli walks just right behind Persephone, making sure to hold the back of her gown, "Good work, Asteli! Just as expected from a beautiful nymph like you" Demeter praised, feeling extremely proud of her daughter.
(The dress she's wearing)
Persephone felt nervous, her hands felt sweaty and she felt cold the whole time, her mother had always kept her in a greenhouse, only letting her outside whenever they were giving life to the earth.
She breathed, this is the first time she was ever allowed to meet all the other gods and goddesses of Olympus. She's finally here... where everyone else belonged, and so did she.
Demeter held her daughter's hand, leading her down the staircase, showing off her masterpiece of a child.
The whole room grew quiet making Persephone even more self-conscious, did she look odd? Was there dirt on her face? On her dress? Did she do something wrong? Was she walking weirdly?
"Kore" Demeter softly said, making Persephone come back to reality, she looked around and noticed them staring at her in awe. She looked absolutely stunning with her long pink hair seemingly hugging her lustrous curves, and her beautiful, round green eyes that seemed to pierce through everyone's souls.
Persephone may be innocent, but she can take everyone's breath away.
"My dear gods and goddesses of the proud and mighty Olympus, I proudly present to you, my only daughter, Persephone" Demeter announces, walking towards the center of the hall.
Before Demeter could say her next sentence, the humongous doors suddenly opened with a loud bang, revealing the god Zeus and his brother, Hades.
"I apologize for being late," Zeus starts, going beside Hera in an instant, "I had to go fetch my dear brother who utterly refused to leave his residence" he finished, grabbing a glass of wine and drinking it.
Hades had a big frown all over his face, evidently showing how much he hated being dragged along. Zeus called Persephone, she walked towards him and bowed.
"Raise your head, Persephone" Zeus' loud and firm voice echoed across the room, everyone stayed silent and simply listened to their exchange.
Persephone did as he said, leveling her gaze towards him, eventually trailing off and looking at his brother, Hades, instead.
"I welcome you to Olympus, Persephone" Zeus announced, leaving the other gods to cheer.
The celebration continued after the exchange, but Persephone couldn't take her eyes off of Hades, his pale blue skin and long black hair seemed to entice her which she felt even more when their eyes met.
She didn't know what to do, she panicked and immediately looked away, feeling her cheeks warm up because of him. She started talking to herself quietly, scolding herself for how she was acting.
"That's Zeus' brother! One of the three great gods, why are you ogling him like that?!" she sounded almost frustrated, from behind her, she heard a guy clear his throat. Her heart started quickening in pace, oh please don't tell me that's Hades.
She turned around with an awkward smile plastered on her face, she felt a little relieved when she realized who it was. Her favorite god, Hermes.
"Perse, I'm so glad to see you here in Olympus! I finally don't have to visit your stupid greenhouse all the time" he said jokingly, making her laugh.
Hermes always visited her when he could, having a busy schedule, he was always going all over the world and realms, making Persephone deeply envious of him. But hearing about his travels were enough for Persephone which made her look forward to their meetings.
They continued talking, only to be cut off by a god with bright, yellow hair. "Hey there, sweetcakes!" he said rather obnoxiously, putting an arm over her shoulder, making her very uncomfortable.
"U-Um... Can you please... get your arm off me?" she asked nicely, the man looked furious despite wearing a smile. He obliged, but then pulled her close with his hand on her hip. The gods around them saw what was happening, most of them were sneering and laughing, cheering Apollo on.
Persephone didn't know what to do, she knew that if she did anything stupid, her mother would be furious and cage her up in the greenhouse again. She was on the verge of crying when a man with pale blue skin stepped in, pulling her away from the obnoxious sun god.
He held her close to him, as if he was saying that only he could touch her. "Now, now Apollo, I didn't know that you've forgotten how to treat a maiden properly after several hundreds of years!" he remarked with a grim tone, Persephone looked at him with awe.
His sharp jawline and broad chest, and his scent... "Ahem," Hades cleared his throat, looking towards Persephone, "I'm glad you like my cologne, I recently got it from the mortal realm" he said with a dorky smile, gently pushing her away. Persephone felt her whole face heat up, realizing what she was doing.
"I-I'm sorry... for causing you trouble" she apologized timidly, he smiled at her and took her hand, placing his lips on top of it.
"I'd love for you to cause trouble in my whole life" he said, placing a kiss on the top of her head.
"What's going on here?!" Demeter walked towards them, pulling her beloved daughter away from the god of the underworld.
"Um... A god was causing trouble for me, he just helped me, mother!" she explained quickly but Demeter was deaf to reason. Demeter pointed towards Hades, "Don't you dare touch my daughter" she warned.
