Chapter Eight: I felt like I was going to throw up. I couldn't understand why she wanted me dead. I was so scared, that I was shaking violently. I started running, as fast as I could. I just kept running and running. I had no idea where I was going, but I honestly didn't care. I found myself running out of the Entrance Hall and down the front steps. Suddenly I felt a solid form in front of me and the next thing I knew I was lying on top of a girl. As quick as I could, I stood up, holding out my hand to the girl, but I was shocked to see that she was already standing up. I couldn't recall ever seeing her but she looked too old to be a first year.

“S-sorry, I wasn't.. wasn't watching where I was going. Sorry.” I mumbled, looking past her.

She smiled faintly, “It's okay. Hey, would you mind helping me? I'm new and I forgot where my common room is. I've been trying to find someone to ask, but, everyone seems to be in the hall, and well.. I didn't want to interrupt anyone.”

“Sure,” I said slowly.

She didn't have a uniform on, so I had no idea which house she was in.

“Sure.. unless.. well, unless you're a Slytherin.” I said wearily.

She looked slightly confused but shook her head. She obviously didn't know that most people hated the Slytherins.

“No, I'm Gryff.. Gryffin something.” she said, scratching her head.

“Gryffindor? Well, that's way better than the alternative. I'm Alexis by the way. What's your name?”

“My name is Ella.” she said slowly, as we started to walk up the stairs, towards the Gryffindor portrait hole.

When we finally got there, I realised she wouldn't be able to get in, since I didn't know the password, and if she didn't know where it was, then she certainly wouldn't know how to get in. Nobody was around, since most normal people where down at breakfast at this time, so I turned to her.

“I don't know the password, sorry. But I do know plenty of Gryffindor's who'll be able to help you, I'll show you them.”

We quickly made our way downstairs, and into the Great Hall, where Oliver and Harry were standing next to the door, deep in conversation. They didn't notice us, but obviously Ella noticed them.

“Wh- who's that?” she said confoundedly, pointing to them.

“Well, the super sexy one on the left. He's Oliver Wood, captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. He's amazing, smart, funny. Perfect. The other bloke is Harry. Harry Potter. The chosen one. Whatever, doesn't interest me.”

I looked at her face. It was obvious that she liked Harry, just from the way she was staring at him.

“Look, Ella, you seem nice. Really nice. But Harry is taken. And, well, it's kinda an unspoken rule that we don't nick other peoples boyfriends.. No matter how bad you want it.”

I shrugged, then frowned when she started slumping forward. I pushed her gently towards the two boys and grinned at them both but they still didn't notice us.

“So, the plan is, we need to have both of the Diggory's covered. Make sure there's no way Alexis can catch the snitch, and try to keep Cedric away from the quaffle. Cause then we'll have no chance.”

I cleared my throat. “You know Wood, I don't know whether to be flattered or insulted. I mean, I'm glad that you're finally accepting I'm too damn amazing. But, you seriously think you can beat me?” I grinned at the look on his face.

“Diggory. There was me thinking you play fair. I don't think that listening in to private talks is exactly fair Al.” he told me.

“Actually, I'm here because Ella here needs to get into the common room, but she doesn't know the password. I figured that being sweet, gorgeous, loveable and sexy, Harry would be able to help her.” I smirked at him.

Harry looked at me, then at Ella with wide eyes. He suddenly blushed and held out his hand for Ella. I waited until they left, then I jumped on Oliver, kissing him hard, but I felt nothing back. Absolutely nothing. I frowned and slid off him.

“Oliver.. are you okay?” I said, feeling dread deep inside.

“Alexis. We need to talk. Come for a walk with me?” he said, his voice catching in his throat.

I followed him down to our spot near the late, where he sat down, looking around awkwardly.

“You gonna sit?” he asked patting the ground.

I simply shook my head, staying up.

“Right.. well. Okay. I love you. I do. And I always will, but, you know. I just.. don't think we're working well, you know? I mean..” he stood up and kissed my forehead softly, before walking away. “I do love you.”
