Lexi furrowed her brows as she typed her response under Ashton's Instagram post. Why did he post a picture of something she had written down the day after her fight with Calum? She slipped her phone back in to her pocket and walked out of the elevator.

She had the loveliest day with Shawn. They got coffee and just talked for hours, she really forgot about the time, since she had planned to be in the hotel for dinner. It was now 9 PM and she had obviously missed dinner. Instead, she had gotten some Burger King with Shawn and they just really connected.

There was nothing romantic, at all. It felt more like she was talking to a cousin she hadn't seen in a while.

Now she was on her way back to the penthouse, wondering if Ashton was alright. Ever since she had told him she was going to meet up with Shawn he had been a little quiet, even when she texted him to ask if he wanted anything to drink that she could get on her way back to the hotel.

She slid the card in to the lock and opened the door, revealing most of the people in the living room section, except Ashton. "Hey Lex had fun?" Crystal asked, smiling. Everyone kind of looked up, wondering if she enjoyed herself.

"Yeah, I'll catch you guys later, sorry." Lexi said, putting her bag in the corner and throwing her jacket over a chair in the kitchen before opening the door of Ashton's room. He was laying in his bed with the curtains closed and the room mainly dark.

"Ash?" Lexi said, kicking off her shoes and sitting at the edge of the bed. Ashton rolled over and stared at Lexi who was staring at him with furrowed brows. "What do you want?" He sighed, rolling back over. "Come on, don't be rude." Lexi sighed, getting up and sitting down closer to him.

"What is going on? Want to tell me about your recent Instagram post?" She said, raising one of her brows. Ashton groaned and put a pillow on top of his head to mute her out. "Quit being childish, come on." Lexi said, grabbing the pillow out of his hands and throwing it towards the foot end of the bed. "Just leave me alone." Ashton said, rolling over and pulling the duvet cover with him.

Lexi rolled her eyes, "whatever," she sighed, getting up and walking out of the room again. Everybody looked up again, wondering what she did. "Do any of you guys know what's wrong?" Lexi asked whilst grabbing her pack of cigarettes from her bag. "No not sure." Luke said, staring at what she was doing.

Lexi walked on the chilly balcony and smoked her cigarette, feeling calm when she breathed in the tobacco. She did it quick, causing her to let out a cough, it was chilly and she wanted to go inside as soon as possible. She finished the cigarette, putting it in the ash tray on the table and then walking back inside. She sat down on the couch next to Luke.

"I hope he's okay, I don't like seeing Ashton sad." Lexi sighed whilst Luke wrapped his arm around her and pulled her in to his side so her head was on his chest. She started playing with the necklace around Luke's neck. Everybody went silent again and continued watching the movie. Eventually, Lexi had dozed off to sleep. Luke smiled, "this girl can really sleep anywhere," he softly chuckled. "Just pick her up and lay her down in her bed, she must be jet lagged." Crystal whispered, getting up.

Luke nodded and picked Lexi up bridal style, walking towards her room. Crystal followed, so she could take off Lexi's jeans because sleeping in jeans was the most uncomfortable thing ever. Luke left the room and Crystal took off the jeans. Then she put the duvet cover over Lexi and went to close the blinds.

Crystal walked back and left Lexi alone, so she could continue her slumber.

It was around three AM when Lexi woke up for the first time, she was about to turn over when she felt arms wrapped around her waist. She furrowed her brows and turned around to see who was being her big spoon. "Ash?" She mumbled.

"Shh, sleep," he whispered back, tightening his grip around her waist and laying his head on her chest. Lexi furrowed her brows for a second before wrapping her arms around his neck and head, holding it whilst it was laying on her chest. Without thinking for another second, they both dozed off to sleep again.

The next morning they were woken up by Lexi's alarm that was set to 9 AM. Ashton scrunched his face and looked up, forgetting for a second that he had went to Lexi's room late last night. Lexi reached for her phone to turn off the alarm. Once the sound stopped, she looked down to see Ashton staring at her

He quickly untangled his arms from around her waist and sat up straight. "Do you want to tell me now?" Lexi sighed eventually, rubbing her forehead. "I'm sorry for yesterday." Ashton sighed, turning around to face Lexi. "What happened yesterday?" Lexi asked, confused about the entire situation.

"I wanted to take you to this cool place I discovered last time I was in Toronto but then you told me you were going to meet up with Shawn and that kind of made me sad." Ashton sighed, holding his head in his hands.

"You could say I was a little jealous." Ashton whispered under his breath, hoping that Lexi didn't hear that. But she did. "Jealous? Why?" She asked sitting closer to him and grabbing his hand. "I just like having you around," Ashton said, looking the other way.

"Well, I mean, I sit next to you on every plane, we share rooms all the time, we hold hands, do you really think I would forget you?" Lexi smiled, sitting down in his lap. Ashton looked down, too afraid to look up in to her eyes. He knew that if he looked in to those eyes he wouldn't be able to keep calm anymore.

"Hey, come on, let's hang out until you have to go to the venue," Lexi smiled, resting her arms on his shoulders and playing with his hair. "Sounds good," Ashton smiled, placing a soft kiss on her forehead. Lexi patted his shoulders and got out of his lap, not bothering to pull her t-shirt down to cover her bum. She rushed in to her bathroom and started getting ready.

Ashton decided to leave her room and go back to his own so he could get ready too. He walked out of the room to see Calum entering the main area. He looked like he had just gotten inside after smoking a cigarette on the balcony. "Did you just come out of Lexi's room looking like that?" Calum said, a puzzled look appearing on his face whilst he stared at Ashton who was in just his boxers and t-shirt.

Ashton bit his lip and nodded, Calum walked closer to Ashton, he could smell the tobacco in his breath whilst it hit his face. "You better make sure whatever you're feeling feels good because even though I might sound like a hypocrite, I don't want somebody like you to break her heart." Calum said, then brushing past his best friend and disappearing in to his room.
