Max stayed silent as Niel, asked if he was alright.

It was the morning after Max had his meltdown in front of Niel, and he was refusing to talk.

"Max." Niel said firmly.

Still nothing.

Max pulled the covers over his head as an attempt to muffle Niel.

"Please, Max answer me." The brown haired boy pleaded.

"Fuck off." Max said muffled through the covers.

Max felt a weight press down on the edge of the bed.

"Im not leaving until you tell me what's wrong. I don't trust you alone in here anyway.." His voice trailed off.

"Im fine Niel." Max said through gritted teeth.

"No you're not." Niel sighed.

Max grunted in response. He didn't really feel like talking.

Niel leaned back his head resting on the side of the tent, and his back on Max's legs. Though Max was still considered small for his age, he had gained some height. He was maybe around 5'2 right now.

"What are you doing?" Max groaned.

"Im waiting for you to tell me what's wrong." Niel huffed.

"Nothing's wrong." Max said with his head still under the blanket.

"Bullshit."

They both heard footsteps coming towards their shared tent. Niel was unbothered by it, but Max felt a wave of Anxiety come over him, but he stayed silent.

Harrison peeked his head in, and saw a lump under the covers and Niel leaned back on it.

"Um.." he paused for a moment unsure what to say.

"David told me to tell you guys to come to breakfast." He said quickly.

"Im not hungry." Max mumbled from underneath the covers.

Niel sighed. "Just bring two trays down here please.."

"O-okay."
