Chapter 23

Diego's POV

After drinking coffee with Diana,I felt happy. I was fulfilled for once. I needed to tell Scott that Diana asked me out on a date. After school,I met Scott at our house and I told him.

"I drank coffee today with Diana and she asked me out to go and watch a movie." I said.

Scott looked at me and then continued eating his food. He behaved like I never spoke anything important. I got up and seized his plate of food.

"Hey man,what the hell? What did you do that for?"
"I've achieved my goal."
"What goal?" Scott asked.
"I've got your attention. So what do you think of what I told you earlier?"
"You could have just let me to finish my food. I heard what you said."
"So?" I asked.
"It's good. I just hope you are not a replacement of Fred."
"What makes you think so?"
"She has your attention when her sweet boyfriend is not around." Scott said.

What Scott had just said hurt my feelings. I didn't think of that. I did not want to believe what Scott said so I gave a counter back.

"You are not so sure of that ."I told him.

Scott got up from his seat and took back his plate of food. He continued eating and then he looked up at me.

"Leaving your love issues aside,we have got a problem. Terry has killed a 26 years old man and it's time to pay him a visit."Scott said.
" Shit. What's wrong with Terry. Doesn't he have a conscience?"
"We are talking about a serial killer who is a vampire and you are asking if he has a conscience. Why do you think I was eating? I need energy to confront him and his so called gang."
"You are only telling me now that we are going to visit Terry." I said.
"Don't tell me you are afraid of your fellow mate. What about me that I'm a wolf. Vampires and wolves are fucking bloody enemies. As I'm going there,I'm bait,do you know that? At least you have equal strength and capabilities like Terry and his folks."

Scott thought I was afraid of Terry? He got to be kidding. I was simply shocked we are going to pay him a visit now. I needed to be prepared beforehand.

"This is a serial killer on the loose. We have got to stop him Diego." Scott said.
"We would. Why don't I go and change into something that fits and we go and pay our little friend a visit."

We finally arrived Terry's condo and I knocked on the door. A man came and opened it and when he saw Scott and i ,he smirked.

"What brings you here Diego and this enemy?"
"Mark,I don't have all the time for these. Let's get in,we need to talk to Terry."
"As you please dear mate."

Scott and I entered into the house. I saw Terry sitting on the sofa with his girlfriend Camille. As usual,they were drinking from a person. Terry looked up at us and he smiled.

"Diego,Diego, Diego. We meet again. You had to bring this wolf with you. You know he's not wanted."
"You know i'm standing right here." Scott said.
"So what's with the visit? Kyle why don't you entertain the vampire?"
"Sure boss.''Kyle said.

I saw Kyle going to the fridge to take a blood bag and he came later with a glass. He poured blood into the glass and gave Diego.

"So what's with the visit? Terry asked.
" We have seen the killings and it's not good. We have traced them back to you."Scott said.
"When people are talking, you are not supposed to be speaking." Terry said.
"Mind what you say dude." Scott said.

I looked at Terry and Scott and I noticed the discussion was not going anywhere.

"You have to stop killing innocent people. They have families." I said.
"You don't come to our place and tell us what to do. If we like we can kill everyone we pass across. I don't fucking care." Camille said.

I saw Scott's eyes glowing yellow showing he was damn angry. I saw him get up and pin Camille to the chair.

"Do not speak of human beings that way. They are not objects you can toy with." Scott growled.

I got up from my seat and Terry removed Scott from Camille and pinned him to the wall. Terry put his hand on Scott's neck and his eyes darkened.

"I welcome you to my home and you treat me this way. You even lay your hands on my woman."

After saying this,Terry put his hand inside Scott's chest trying to remove his heart. I vamp sped towards Terry and pushed him away from Scott. I pinned his hands to the ground.

"Don't you even dare try to kill my friend."
"I think you have stayed enough for your visit."

Terry told Camille to summon a group of people to where we were. She hurriedly and after several minutes,a group of people entered and Camille was behind them accompanied by two men. Terry went towards the man Camille and him were drinking from and compelled him.

"You see all those people there?" Terry asked.

The man nodded and I wondered why Terry had to bring his group of vampires.

"What's with the group of vampires?" I asked.
"They are not vampires. They are humans." Camille said.

Terry looked at the man directly into the eyes and compelled him.

"You have got to kill all of those humans. Stop anyone who comes in between  you and your task. When you are done killing them,come let me kill you."
"Okay."
"Good."

I looked at Scott still on the ground groaning in pain. It looked like I would be the only one fighting this man. As the man was going towards the humans, I vamp sped and tackled him to the floor. He held my neck and I struggled to breathe. The man took a knife that Terry had flung to him and pierced it into my chest. I felt pain run through my body. I saw the man finally killing all those innocent humans. He came to Terry after.

"Good job dude." Terry said.
"You liked it?" The man said.
"Yeah I loved it." Terry said."What I'm about to do,you don't have to scream."

The man nodded and I saw Terry putting his hand into the man's chest and letting out his vampire fangs. Terry drank from the man's neck and removed his heart. He licked the remaining blood from his lips and looked at us.

"The next time you come to my home and tell me what and what not to do,there would be more collateral damage." Terry said.

Hey guys,it's been long and yeah I know that. It's just that I've been occupied with school work. Anyway I've made up for that with the long chapter I've given you guys. I hope you loved the chap.
