General Gerald sat in his chair. It almost looked like he was as worried as i was. After a long silent moment, he said "Bob is a good, strong, and brave man...We can trust him and your brilliance to get Toni back safe and sound. Now TJ, your next mission: You must retrieve Helga Hovis from St.Petersburg, Russia. She has much needed information about the new rocket guidance system. I would Prefer if you were to go TJ. Few have the skills and the nerves of steel for this kind of mission. Tommy, I cannot order you to do this, due to the recent deaths you witnessed. This is a voluntary mission. Will you do it?" I reply "Sir, I will
Undergo this mission for you. This mission is extremely important and if you feel that I am your man, I will do this. Where will I meet my first contact?" The General then said "Toni will meet you and Bob at location 22.6 safehouse 117. Got all that?" I nodded, saluted, turned and walked away. With everything that led up to this moment in mind, I had forgotten how to get to safehouse 117. I ended up having one of the new privates drive me up to the safehouse.
Appearance wise, the outside reminded me of Bob's house. But the yard was nicely manicured and the steps and railing were wooden instead of concrete and metal. The inside was astounding. Bright yellow walls, a crystal chandelier that was massive, three white reclining couches, a 7 ft by 4 ft red brick fireplace, black and white checkered floor tiles, Violet velvet drapes hanging around the windows, a polished steel staircase that spiraled into the second floor. After snapping out of my inital awe, I heard voices upstairs. I followed the staircase to a less impressive hallway that was almost all wooden. At the end of the hallway, there was a room with the light on. I walk into the room, seeing none other than Bob and Toni, deep in conversation. Toni saw me first because he was facing the door. I was scared to death that he would have been horrifically scarred or dead. In fact, he almost looked better except for the silvery/blue scar under his left eye.
For about two hours, we had discussed what had happened since the bar incident. I asked them to come with me on this mission, since there is strength in numbers. Plus Bob would be our translator. Toni is the best technician i had ever met. And I am the official stratagist. Now that our planning was done, we decided that at 05:00 hours, we would have breakfast, then head off to carry out the General's orders.
