Don't let it get you down

Marinettes POV

  After the accident I woke up in the hospital, spent a few nights there, thye informed me that my parents didn't survive. I was alone, other then my sister, Tiki who took a negative route to deal with our parents , my other family was across the state but I wanted to finish school here, my parents left the bakery to me, the other family where taking care of the bills and food for me till I was able to do it myself .

Once I was discharged Tiki popped her  head in my door short black hair was tied back, she had a red top on and a pair of black skinny jeans "Come on Mari, we need to get ready for school" she said all bubbly.
"Can't I skip school" I muttered she puffed up and threw a pillow at me
"get up, you need this, your friends miss you. Nathaniel's been asking all summer for you" she said
"fuck him" I scouled at her getting out of bed, I grabbed some jeans and a cute grey top, I went to the bathroom to get dressed and Tiki sat outside the door
"come on Mari it was a drunken mistake, he feels guilty for what happened" she tried to explain,
"that's the point Tiki, he made the mistake, he was at fault, let him fucking suffer for all I care" I basically yelled, I put my clothes on and brushed my hair leaving it down.

Once I was ready I grabbed my back pack and we walked to school. she kept talking about her summer "hey what up!" I heard Alya shout as she ran up to us. I stopped and she embraced me "I'm so happy to see you" she said I felt tears sting my eyes,
"im glad to see you too" I whispered, I was not gonna let the tears win; not this time. After she let go we continued to walk Alya and Tiki continued about the summer and the party, but my mind went back to the car accident, I let out a sigh and slowed my pace "Hey are you okay?" Alya asked as we reached the front doors of the high school.
"um yeah i'll be okay, let get inside." I smiled my best fake smile, and we walked in. We each grabbed our schedules and we started waling to our lockers, I felt a shove and I was in the restroom looking at a red headed boy, "What the fuck do you want?" I growled at him,
"I'm sorry, Im really am sorry Marinette" Nathanael pleaded
"I don't give two shit's if your sorry we are DONE! I don't need to deal with you and your cheating!" I shouted shoved him out my way and ran smack into someone "um sorry" I muttered.
"you okay?" he said I looked up and saw boy with black hair and brown eyes, "why where you in the boys restroom?" he asked again,
"my cheating ex boyfriend pushed me in there" I said
"well I guess if im gonna run into you i'm Nino" he smiled at me
"Marinette" I smiled at him.
"well Marinette ill see you around okay" and with that he walked off, I started walking away when I ran into Tiki, "Sorry Tiki" I said
"who was that" she smiled,
"his names Nino" I said looking over my shoulder to find him looking at me.
"girl he likes you" Alya joked
"Don't I so SO don't need the drama right now" I smiled. Then the bell rung and we went to AP english, I sat in my seat and I saw Nino walk in, I gave him a slight wave and he waved back.

Nino POV

this was gonna be a good year I finally got rid of my stupid brother in New Orleans, I could relax again in Mystic Falls, I sat in the English class and waited for the teacher, my eyes kept wondering to Marinette, she looked up and our eyes met, she smiled and waved at me again. After a while Class started and the teacher walked in, we talked about what was going to happen this year and what to expect.

Marinettes POV
After school I ran to the cemetery to visit my family, I got to their grave site and knelt down
"Hey momma, Hey Papa" I smiled tears that threatened now began to fall,
"It's been a while, I miss you guys, more then anything, Tiki's been dealing but it's very destructive;and I worry about her. I wish you where here to help me, I'm trying my best you know. I know it's only been a few weeks, but I don't know what to do" I sobbed.

I continued talking to them about Nath, and the first day of school. How I still wanted to paint the house but didn't know the colors to do, after about 30 minutes I sat down and took out my Diary,

* Dear diary,
Well its good to write in you again, ha.
the first day went well, I guess. Theres a new boy in my Class his name is Nino, he seems nice but I don't know what to think of him yet. Alya and Tiki are always trying to lighten things up but it never seems to work. Chloe is trying to get me back in cheerleading! Can you believe it, so is Alya! I just want my parents back! I feel so lost and broken; SPEAKING of broken my stupid EX tired to talk to me! haha stupid right, he knew what he was doing..

I set my Diary back in my back pack and watched the sun set, then a fog rolled in, and I heard the flapping of wings, I looked up and saw a raven. I thought it was nothing. I closed my eyes and started thinking again of my parents and how much my heart hurt. a twig snapping pulled me out of my thought
"H-hello?" I asked
"hello?" he said back a blond boy stepped out and smiled at me.
"um who are you?" I asked
"where are my manners, Im Adrian; Adrian Agreste" he bowed to me
"oddly formal, aren't we" I joked causing him to laugh.
"just trying to make a good first impression Miss.." he questioned
"Oh um Marinette" I smiled at him
"well Miss Marinette, why are you hanging in a grave yard?"
"i'm visiting my parents" I said pointing at their graves he look at me with sad eyes and say next to me,
" what happened to them?" Adrian asked me
"We where in a car accident over the summer and we crashed in the river, the doctors told me my mom died on impact my dad drowned and they found me on the shore, witch is weird because I was in the car stuck" I explained to him.
"Well that's very unfortunate, I'm sorry" I brought my knees up to my chest and in hailed deeply,
"The funny thing is my sister Tiki, has coped by drinking and doing god knows what I'm racked with all this guilt." I cried "I'm venting to a complete stranger about my damn problems. God I'm pathetic"
"You know, it's going to get getter, I know it's a cliche thing to say, but it will I mean my brother doesn't know I'm here" he let out a laugh, "the rest of my family died, he's all I got, and I'm a complete ass to him, my only friend his name is Plagg, and he's a distractive asshole. But believe me when I say it will get better, you just have to believe it will and fight for it" he said I looked over at him and he had this amazing smile, witch caused me to smile.
"Thank you mr. Agreste" I said tears leaking from my eyes but I had a smile on my face
"You're welcome m'lady, and it's getting late i suggest you go home and take care of you sister" he said standing up, he held his hand out to me and I took it, he helped me too my feet and smiled "good night m'lady" he bowed and I curtsied
"Goodnight good sir" we both laughed and he took off
"Good night momma, goodnight papa. I love you" and with that I walked home.

Once I got home, I walked in the front door and noticed Tiki on the couch, "hey Tiks I smile at her
"Hey Mari, are you okay?" She asked me her face looked worried,
" I'll live, have you eaten yet?"
" no I was waiting for you" she frowns
"How about pizza tonight I don't feel like cooking"
" sure sounds good" I order the pizza and we wait watching a few shows on Netflix, the door bell rings and we pay for the pizza and we enjoy! After dinner, I head to the bathroom and got ready for bed, "GOOD NIGHT TIKI" I yell, at her she shuffles a bit
"Goodnight marinette!" She calls back, and with that I made my way to the pink bedding and laid down, my mind wondered to the blond boy in the woods, after a while I fell into a deep sleep.
