The new normal

Adrian's POV

Explaining to my family what's going down, my mind wondered to Marinette and how much she looked like Emily, her dark blue hair, her smile, just everything about her looked liked Emily then it ht me like a train; "HOLY FUCK IT'S MARINETTE!!" I shouted Nino and Uncle Gabriel looked at me like I was nuts.
"what are you talking about?" Nino asked, I looked at him like he was a moron
"Marinette is the duple ganger. think about it she looks just like Emily" I explain, Nino's expression changed and Gabriel looked shocked
" how did you figure it out so quick?" my uncle asked
"that doesn't matter at the moment, right now we need to protect her, if she gets into Klaus gets a hold of her, well need I say more" I said in a panic, Nino shook his head in agreement and my uncle rolled his eyes
"Nino, since you're at school it's your job to keep an eye on her, Adrian. just stay out of trouble." My uncle said
"what you expect me to eat bunnies the whole time that im here?" I questioned him
"YES!" Nino shouted at me " we don't need sheriff Raincomprix to get involved in this, he's already a founder and oh HE KNOW"S ABOUT VAMPIRES!" he added
"your brother has a point Adrian" Gabriel smirked,
"how about no, and I'll just be careful about eating people" I smiled at them both
"UGH FINE!" they groaned causing me to laugh. "so im gonna head up to my room" I smiled heading up the stairs my mind fixed on Marinette.

Marinettes POV

I was sat in my math class Alya sat next to me and Chloe on the other, Chloe poked my shoulder and handed me a note ' Are you okay, I miss you at cheer practice' the note read, I wrote back 'i'm hanging in, but I don't think i'll be back at cheer practice' she scowled at me and wrote back ' please Mari, besides you and Alya the team absolutely sucks, it's ridiculous utterly  ridiculous' I smiled at her and wrote ' ill give it a shot but not to day, ill be back next week and hopefully it can keep my mind off the events' she squealed as quietly as possible, "Marinette can you solve the problem on the bored please?" the teacher asked
"um sure" I said as I stood up, making my way to the bored and started solving it
"you see class , with what we are learning it may seem hard and difficult, but hey this is AP geometry" she said.
"done the answer is X=89" I said and sat back down
"amazing miss dupain-Cheng the teacher smiled, I smiled a bit back but kept my head down, my mind thinking of my parents, but a flash of the blond haired boy in the grave yard causing me to smile.

  Once the bell rang I made my way to English, where Mrs Bustier was teaching. I made my way to my desk and sat down, "Marinette are you doing okay?" she asked
"Ill be okay" I said holding back the lump in my throat, she gave me a nod and continued to write the lesson on the bord, I took out my sketch book and begin working on my designs, "why do you bother with that?" Lila asked "I mean it's not like you're any good" she laughed
"that's enough Lila, leave her alone and sit down" Miss Bustier frowned at her. Lila huffed and walked to her desk, a few rows behind me I let out a deep breath and pulled out my phone and texted Tiki
~I don't think I can do this today~
~just try for me, we don't need two delinquents on our hands~  she texted back
~speaking of you need to quit momma would be really disappointed in you Tiks~
~it's how im copping right now~ she replied
~I swear your just as bad as Kim~ I sent
~ Hey im way better at hiding it~
~ugh just don't get caught, we'll talk about your behavior at home~
~you're not my mom~ this caused me to let out a small laugh ' you my sweet sister are going t be the death of me' I thought went I felt a hand on my shoulder
"Mari can we talk?"
"get the fuck away from me Nathanial" I glared up at him
" Mari please I know I screwed up, I'm sorry" he frowned
"I don't give a shit, you can live with this mistake, you can live with what you did" I started raising my voice as images from that night raced through my mind, causing a few tears to stream down my face "just stay away from me" I whispered to him, he turned and sat at his desk, finally Alya came in and sat next to me "about time" I said
"shh I was talking to Nino" she smiled
"oh dose someone have a crush" I said snapping out of my woe is me daze and smiled at my friend
"shut up you brat" Alya blushed. ' oh you sweet girl' I thought with a smile,
"okay class quite down" Miss Bustier said with a smile "today's lesson is on Shakespeare, the first play is going to be Romeo and Juliette. Each scene we will write a page on how it made us feel" she smiled at us. "You will work in pairs" she added and started handing out books
"hey wanna work with me?" I asked Alya
"um YES!" she said excitedly.

The rest of the day went by fast and Tiki and I started walking home. "Ill be in the Bakery and try to make some money for us, do you wanna help me?" I asked
"sure but only for an hour, I have homework" she smiled after we reached our house I walked next door and unlocked the bakery door, turned on the lights and went to work making pastries and bread, Tiki swept the floors and minded the counter, "hello how can I help you?" she asked
"oh can I have a puff pastry please" he asked, I stuck my head out the door to the kitchen and saw his messy blond hair.
"Adrian?" I asked
"well hello Miss Marinette" he smiled at me Tiki looked at me and mouthed 'he's hot' causing me to blush
"how are you" I said patting the flour off my hands
"im amazing, I walked by this Bakery and figured I should try it out. Did you make these?" He asked
"Oh course she did, our Papa taught her everything he knew" Tiki boasted
"shut up Tiki, but yeah, I guess I have some talent" I blushed
" SOME TALENT THESE ARE AMAZING!" he shouted in joy taking another bit, "can I get some more please" he asked Tiki his emerald green eyes never leaving mine
"of course" Tiki said bagging three of the Puff pastries "that will 10.75" She smiled Adrian handed her the money and slid a 5$ bill in the tip jar.
"Ill be back tomorrow" he said as he walked out
"MARI HE'S BEYOND HOT!" Tiki boasted
"whatever just mind the counter and help the customers, well be done by 6" I smiled and walked back to the kitchen to make more of the pastries.
"ugh fine, shit head" she laughed
"whatever butthead" I laughed back. A few more customers came in and ordered cakes and baked goods asking Tiki how we where holding up, put a few tips in the jar and walked out, Tiki completely forgot about her homework, when 6:00 rolled around I turned off the ovens and hung up my apron "ready shithead" I smiled
"sure I guess" she joked she grabbed the tip money and I put the till in the lock office, we walked out the door and I locked it, and I ran into someone "Oh are you closed?" he asked I looked up and saw his red hair
"Yes we are well be open 3-6 tomorrow though" I said harshly, Tiki grabbed my hand and pulled me home before I could punch him. "ill get dinner started. you count the money okay" she nodded.
 
  I went to the kitchen and made chicken, mac and cheese and some green beans and Mommas famous mashed potato's. Around an hour the food was ready and I called for Tiki "here's your cut we made over 50 in tips, I guess people feel sorry for us" she smiled a few tears ran down her cheek
"oh wait I forgot something" I said as I ran to moms wine collection and picked out a nice white wine, poured a glass for me and Tiki and sat in down in front of her
"I thought you didn't want me drinking" she laughed wiping her face
"figured we both had a hard day, we could use a drink" I smiled at my sister.
Before we could sit down there was a knock on the door "i'll get it" I smiled and walked to the door, I opened it and saw a shorter guy with ridged futures he was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans
"can I help you?" I asked
"yes you can, may I come in?" he asked
"um no, please say what you want and leave" I said harshly
"Get away from the door now!" I looked over the strange man shoulder and saw Adrian
"we'll Mr. Agreste what are you doing back home" the strange man asked
"Mari close the door and lock it" Adrian told me I did what I was told and heard shouting on the other side. I peaked out the window and saw that the strange man was gone and so was Adrian. "what the fuck is going on?" I said out loud returning to the table where Tiki was pouring another glass, I sat down and started eating the dinner I had prepared
"the potato's taste just like moms" Tiki said as she started crying.
"she taught me, she taught you how to run the front of the bakery, thinking we would take it over" I said and smiled a sad smile to my sister
"who thought it would be so soon, and I was thinking, how about we stay open around 8, so we would work from 3-8, but depending on how much homework we have , or we can work on it in the bakery like we used to when momma and papa where here" she said
"that is a great idea, I just didn't want to over whelm you" I smiled
"Don't worry about me, we need something and if your going back to cheer leading you'll need to wake up early and make some of the goods and ill sell how ever much you make." She let out
"sounds like a plan" I grinned and we continued eating our dinner.
