On 4 July 2018, it was announced that Bennett would join World of Sport Wrestling as an executive (in kayfabe) and commentator.
On November 9th, Bennett made his Lucha Underground debut in an epilogue style segment, in which he appears with a cigar, and referring to his old catchphrase used in WWE. A day later, he announced his name would be "The Lord".
