Chapter 9

{Ivy's P.O.V}

I sat on the bars(?) below the carriage part of the sleigh, letting my legs hang over the edge. I sighed.

We were on our way to who knows where and I was deep in thought. Pitch stole the teeth, including mine. The teeth contained my memories. They were the only way I would know who I was, 300 years ago before I died. How would we get them back? Why did the moon choose me to be the new guardian? Why me?

I kept thinking and it wasn't until Jack nudged my arm that I realised he was sitting next to me.

"How long have you been here?" I asked.

"Oh, just five,ten minutes." He said,shrugging.

"Creep." I muttered.

"What were you thinking about anyway? You looked so...lost." He said.

"Stuff."

"It's the teeth and memories,right?"

"How'd you know?"

"Well,same thing happened to me last year." He crossed his legs.

"Are you okay? I mean, Pitch mocked you about,you know."

"Yeah,I'm fine. After all..." I sighed."...I guess he's right. I haven't been seen for years, so I doubt anyone will see me now."

"Nah,it'll turn out alright eventually. I was like you before, but look at me now! I have tons of believers. Besides, don't believe him. Pitch is never right."

"Hopefully..."

"And...about Pitch asking you to join him?"

"I'd never join that doofus." I said,and Jack chuckled.

"I'm glad." He smiled. "So...How'd you find...us?"

"Hmm? Well, let's start with Sandy. He's...nice, quiet, an attentive listener...probably for the fact that he can't talk but the sand signs he makes are kinda cute. North is like...a father, jolly, kind...Tooth is energetic, full of pep, like a mother...Bunny sounds like he's from Australia." I said.

"Yeah. It's his accent." Jack smirked."So,what about me?"

I blushed slightly,but continued anyway."Hmm...you're...playful," I said, to which Jack responded with a laugh."Mischievous,not so serious-" I immediately added,"In a good way! I don't mean anything bad."

"It's okay! Not like I'm gonna freeze you or anything." He smirked.

"Are you sure? Seeing as you're the type who would play tricks,I can't really trust you." I joked.

"Really?" Jack looked at me, and I noticed a mischievous glint in his eye. The next thing I knew, he had thrown a snowball in my face and he was laughing away. I brushed the snow from my face."It's on!"

I formed a huge droplet of water in my hands and saw Jack's surprised look."I can't only control lightning,you know." I said, then I threw the droplet of water at his face before he could react."Gotcha!"

We ended up having a snowball-water droplet fight in the air,both of us flying. Finally, Bunny had leaned over the edge."Oi, stop the ruckus down there!"

"Aww, you can join us if you like, Bunny." I teased.

"As if." He said,folding his arms.

"Everyone! We're here-" North's voice rang out,and I saw a beautiful city with the one and only Eiffel Tower appear in front of us.

"-in Paris." I finished.
