Chapter 10

{Ivy's P.O.V }

Soon,we were all off collecting teeth.

Bunny raced Jack across rooftops and Tooth buzzed about excitedly. North hopped into chimneys and popped out of them. I watched as they zoomed into houses,constantly competing for teeth.I flew off to another part of the city where they hadn't gone and collected the teeth there while slipping gifts under the pillows of kids. Soon, I had a whole bag of teeth. I flew to look for Tooth and saw her zooming around rooftops.

"Tooth! Where are the other guardians?" I called.

"Oh, Ivy! Well,they're over there..." Tooth said,pointing to a cluster of buildings,then turning to look at my bag of teeth."Wow! You collected lots!"

"It's nothing...I just went to the other part of town,that's all. And I left gifts too," I said,smiling.

Suddenly, I felt a rush of air past me and Jack shot past me, the other guardians landing once rooftop me and Tooth had settled down on. He shot me a smirk,but it turned into a look of awe as he raised his bag of teeth,which was only a third of mine.I covered my mouth with a hand to try and stifle a giggle,but it didn't work. Jack mouthed to me,"I'll win next time."

I shook my head. There had best not be a next time!

Tooth gasped and looked at all the bags of teeth."Ooh! That's a lot of teeth!"

"Did you leave gifts?" I asked,looking at the guardians.

All of their faces fell. Except Jack's.

"Please don't tell me you forgot...again!" Tooth exclaimed. North, Bunny and Sandy looked down at the floor sheepishly and immediately went off to leave the gifts, Tooth following them."I don't really trust them," She told me,winking,and I shook my head,smiling.

While waiting, I sat down with Jack.

"So,looks like Frostbite didn't forget to leave the gifts." I said, looking over at Jack.

"Well, it's pretty hard to forget what you say." He said, smirking. Then,his face turned to one of utter embarrassment. I transformed back into my hoodie and quickly pulled it over my face,hiding the blush creeping onto my face.

"Uhh...sorry. Umm..I shouldn't have said that," He says,scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. Was that a slight blush on his face?

I racked my mind for something to say,but Tooth and the other guardians flew over at that moment and saved me."Come on,let's go." I muttered to Jack before standing up quickly and walking over to Tooth.

"All done with the gifts?" I asked.

She nodded. North walked over to the sleigh."Come on! Everyone in!"

We spent the whole day collecting teeth and finally arrived back at North's workshop after a long day.

I sat near the window, tracing the outline of a snowflake, for some reason, in the frost with my lightning and hugged my knees to my chest. I thought about what had happened in Paris with Jack.

'It's pretty hard to forget what you say,' His words rang in my head and I felt myself blushing again.

I began to think.

I realised that everytime he smirked, my heart beat faster.

Everytime he laughed, I could feel my heart flutter.

Everytime I saw him, I started to blush.

What was wrong with me?

I glanced over to where the guardians were and saw Jack arguing with Bunny about the number of teeth they had collected and who had done it better. I let out a soft giggle, but quickly stopped myself.

Was I crushing on Jack Frost?
