Wrath of the Ghouls

2|Ken Kaneki

"Kaneki?" I asked him while furrowing my brows at him. Why is he here? Isn't he supposed to be with the aogiri? These thoughts run through my mind, corrupting my calm thoughts while kaneki's stoic stare remain the same. There was a brief silence, but it was soon break by the owner.

"Ritari?" His voice as raspy as ever. Its tone never losing the stiffness and power, Eto's father. Is just how he should be.

"Hmm" I hummed in response. "Its been a while owner. ." I took a pause then raking a deep breathe before continuing my sentence "Kaneki - kun" I finished my sentence with my gaze lock in him.

"I suppose you are here in matters with Wrath " he said taking a seat across me.

"Yes. It hurts me to do so, but I'm asking for your help." As I said this, kaneki raised a brow at my sudden statement and so does the owner. "Apparently, Kouen got captive by the CCG." I finish my statement with a hint of disbelief.

"The great glutton is asking for assistance?" The owner raised a brow at my statement holding a chuckle. "But why? Why me?" He asked releasing his chuckle, while his eyes stare at me. His eyes with a hint of curiosity and caution.

"I meant no harm. The Aogiri -" I took a glance at kaneki thinking twice if I should let him hear my plan against the aogiri. But nonetheless I still trust him. "I don't want to them." I stated and kaneki raised his brow again but a minute later he went back to his stoic expression. There was a brief silence.

No one uttered a word.

Kaneki gulped before stating his business on why he is here not taking a glance away from me "Ritari, Ayato asked  me to fetch you." He said straight not waiting for a reply, but nonetheless I still make a protest.

"I don't want to." As soon as I said that in a blink of an eye kaneki is already in front of me, our faces in an inch close.  So close that I can feel his breathe in my face and so does he. He leaned in slowly directly at my ear.

"I will help you." He mumbled, his voice sends shivers down my spine while his breath tickles my ear. I leaned in to his height slightly tip toeing, to match his height  and whispered something which caught him off guard "I don't need your help." As I said that I took a step back to see his reaction but in my disappointment he still holds his stoic expression. Making me pout.

I was about to leave when kaneki grabbed my wrist, harshly. I glared at him as I demanded him to let me go. "Take your hands off" I warned him, but he just ignored me and Instead he tightens the grip around my wrist even more - if I was not a ghoul I swear my wrist was long broke but I wasn't. I can feel a vein pop up my nerve, and as if my body has its own mind, in my reflexes. My kakugan showed while other my other eye remains the same, in the deep shade of gold. I can feel my kagune burst out my back as I unleash four rinkaku all directly pointed at the Albino in front of me.

The owner and Touka suddenly unleashed they're kakugan together with their kagune, preparing at my sudden outburst. While kaneki does the same with his four rinkaku pointed towards me and his grip never losing.

After a minute I've calmed down and retracted my kagune and took a deep breath followed by a sigh. Although my left eye is still a ghoul's I'm now much calmer which earned their trust  and soon they've calmed down; kaneki, Touka and owner.

"You know I won't comply kaneki." I stated once again, not taking my gaze of him.

"Even if Ayato knows how to break the wrath out?" He said his words full of sincerity, I don't know but something in his words took my interest. I raise a brow at him signalising him to continue speaking. "They brought you out, of course they will do the same to Kouen. We both know that he is useful" kaneki's words where harsh but nonetheless I don't care, my priority is Kouen. If I bust him out now with aogiri I can worry on how would I escape them if I do owe them - later.

Thinking this through there's a higher chance I can bust him out with them, although, there's also a high chance if I bust him out with owner's plus I won't owe them. But seeing me I'll probably do the easy way and I did. "Fine, I do accept. But you know I opposed the war. " I said looking through his eyes, not taking off my gaze and so does he.

"I do too" kaneki's words have me taken me a back, I didn't expect him to say such thing. "I don't have time to take chances with them, I'm just here to help you." He said, while slowly releasing his grip on to my wrist.

"Wow the One eyed - king? Will help me for free?" I said smiling in delight. Note; sarcasm inserted. Kaneki just ignored my petty comment and shrug me off.

"Anyways thank you. Touka, owner. But it looks like I don't need to participate in stopping the war" I said smiling at them. "Thank you for your time, see you when I do." I said lightly bowing before them. I bid my final last bye and wave cheekily at them, leaving the Anteiku with kaneki.

Kouen, you better be in one piece.
