Now that you hopefully have completed the first 2 layers, it's time to make the yellow cross.
You will need 2 different algorithms for this.
The first one is:
F (R U R' F') F'
(A good thing to remember is that the 4 middle letters are just sexy move)
We use this algorithm for 2 different cases:
IGNORE THE CORNERS WE DON'T NEED THEM RIGHT NOW JUST FOCUS ON THE EDGES. JUST THE EDGES. JUST THE EDGES. J U S T T H E E D G E S.Keep in mind that when you do these algorithms, the yellow face should be pointing up. The pictures might be deceiving but they are taken that way for visual purposes.
The first case for F (R U R' U') F':
As you can see, none of the edges have yellow facing upwards.
After you do the algorithm you will end up with Case 2 or 3 right below.Case 2 with F (R U R' U') F':
As you can see, 2 edges are making a LINE.
In this case, you can't do the algorithm if the cube is facing this way:Because if you do it this way, you'll just end up having the dot again. It's important that you do the algorithm with a horizontal line.
The second algorithm you will have to learn is:
f (R U R' U') f'
I haven't explained what a lowercase letter means yet. Here's the explanation:The lowercase letters means that you have to take 2 layers at once. Let's take the example f.
f means that you will have to take the 2 layers in the front instead of only the first front. Please tell me if I need to explain further. After you've done the correct algorithm(s), you should have something like this:
A beautiful, yellow cross.
