The center of the face determines what color goes there and the middles don't move. This tells you that white will always be on the opposite of yellow, green and blue are on opposite sides and orange and red are on opposite sides... unless your cube is weird.
If your cube is weird, then just take notice of which colors are the opposites of each other by looking at the color of the centerpieces.
