This is a random note, but do you guys play Choices? It's like a reading game but more interactive and I'm honestly so in love with the characters ugh I need someone to fangirl with hehe. If you don't, I definitely recommend it.

Hope you like this one!

Steve's bringing you home for Christmas, and you're enjoying every second of it.

You both have been staying at his run-down apartment in Maine, and are surrounded by a few kids in the house, since his roommate is in town for a vacation with his family.

"I'll see you guys in a bit, yeah?" you say goodbye to the kids you're babysitting, waving your hand in the air as you lace your fingers with Steve's. "Tell your mom and dad not to worry, okay? We'll be back for lunch."

The littlest makes exaggerated kissy faces and her brother raises his eyebrows. "Have fun!" he says suggestively.

"Oh, hush," you say, slightly blushing.

Steve's cheeks are as red as a tomato when you both get out of the house.

"So, where to?" you ask, breaking the silence as he drives around town.

"You'll see," he replies. "It's one of my favorite places."

"Oh?"

"Yeah. It's peaceful and it's where I spend the most time drawing." He stops before a traffic light. "It has a really nice vibe to it."

"Since when do you even say 'vibe'?" you ask with a laugh.

"I don't even know," he chuckles,"the kids' been sayin' it a lot. Guess I just picked up on it."

"That's fair," you say as you rest your head on the car door.

Just a few moments later, you arrive at a small park. Snow hangs upon the evergreen trees, and you can't help but be mesmerized by the sight in front of you.

"It's beautiful," you breathe out as Steve opens your car door. "No wonder it's one of your favorites."

"I know, right?" He takes in the view. "It's even more beautiful in fall."

You enter the park, trying to find a decent bench to sit on. Most of them are already covered in snow, but one of them is strangely not.

"It's like it's meant for us," you say in your best Disney princess voice. "Look at all the snow, and not even a piece there!" you continue before bursting into laughter.

Steve laughs along and you both cuddle up on the surprisingly small  bench, exchanging as much body heat as possible in the cold weather.

"You're a human furnace," you tell him as a shiver runs down your spine. "I'm so cold."

"Get closer." He pulls you in, rubbing his cheek on your head like a cat. "You're so soft."

"You calling me fat?" you joke.

"Nah," he replies. "Besides, even if you think you are, you're still stunning to me."

You blush, becoming speechless.

"I love that look on you," he says, noticing your blushing cheeks. "Makes you look cuter than a panda, which is scientifically proven to be the cutest animal on earth."

"I bet you it's not actually proven," you challenge, grinning.

"Okay, yes, but you know what I mean."

"You're so cute." You peck his shoulder since you're too lazy to actually crane up your neck to reach his face.

"We're really cheesy sometimes."

"You're really cheesy sometimes. I'm just following your lead," you tease.

He laughs wholeheartedly, and for a moment, you're both quiet.

The rustling of the wind and the chirping of birds from far away gives you a sense of calmness. You're just starting to see what a beauty this place really is from the inside when Steve clears his throat, breaking you out of your trance.

"Like it here?" he asks.

"Yeah." You lay your head on his shoulder, watching the snow fall peacefully.

"Good, good," he says. "I'm sorry to have to cut this short, but we have another stop."

"Where's it gonna be this time?"

"It's more... you. That's all I'm gonna say."

You're greeted by the smell of chocolate and peppermint as soon as you walk in through the door of a small cafe near the park.

Steve's done ordering your drinks, and now you're waiting for his name to be called.

"An order from Chris!" you hear the barista shout, and a tall man in a dark blue sweater walks up to the counter to pick up his drink.

When he turns back, you stare at him in shock and so does Steve.

Before you, is a man who looks so much like your boyfriend, it's actually creepy.

He has a beard, though, and genuinely just looks more happy-go-lucky than Steve, but their resemblance is uncanny.

He seems to see the whole 'problem', and proceeds to widen his eyes. "Holy shit," he whispers under his breath.

"Two drinks for Steve!"

You both get up quickly and get your drinks, making sure that no one else takes your seats.

Once you're both comfortable, Steve intertwines his fingers with yours, smiling softly.

"Thanks for agreeing to come here," he says genuinely. "I know the weather's not exactly ideal."

"It doesn't matter where I am. I'm happy when I'm with you," it's your turn to become a sap.

"Yeah?"

"Mhm," you hum, taking a sip of your warm drink and giving it another hum of approval. "This is really good."

"I'm glad you like it," he answers, beaming. "So... I've been thinking."

You encourage him to continue.

"I..." he pauses, gathering his thoughts. "I know we'd agreed on taking things slow."

You nod, urging him to keep going.

"But I found out that I sleep most soundly with you by my side, whether you're laying on top of me or being my cute little spoon. This whole trip, I've been so thankful that I get to see you first thing in the morning, and the last thing at night.

"So, when we get back to New York, will you move in with me?"
