Being with Bucky can sometimes be one hell of a challenge.Unlike what people think when you tell them this, it's actually the fact that being together alone with Bucky can be a challenge. You're not talking about being with Bucky, no, as you know how well he treats you. You're talking about getting the alone time that you sometimes so desperately need.
Living in the Avengers Tower had been a dream of your since you were a kid, and now that you've successfully made it as an Avenger, you live there.
Your first assessment was to befriend Bucky Barnes. Of course, you immediately complied because you've been quite a fan of him for a while. So, when you walked in the room and he was there, you couldn't help but let out a tiny shriek, and he laughed. His laugh made butterflies erupt in your stomach, and you've experienced that countless of times ever since you both got together just a couple of months after your first meeting.
Now, this is the part where the plot thickens.
Bucky's a romantic, you knew that, and he'll show you how much he loves you pretty much anywhere he wants. You were in Tony's office when he kissed you for the first time.
"Hey, you," he greets, entering Tony's office.
Normally, Tony would never let Bucky into somewhere so personal because he knows that he might break something. Since you're there, though, he thought that Bucky will behave because everyone except for you and Bucky himself know that you've got the 'guy with the metal arm' wrapped around your finger.
You're supposed to do something on Tony's computer because yours broke down, but God knows what the hell Bucky is doing in there.
"I wanted to tell you something," he begins.
"Shoot," you reply, your eyes focused on the computer screen in front of it as you type out documents needed for travel as The Avengers having a vacation.
"Can you look at me for a sec?" he asks shyly.
You glance up at him, confused. "What's up?"
"I just... I don't know what's happening, but I'm pretty sure it's because I have this huge crush on you and I hope this doesn't ruin anything between us, and oh my God what have I done?" he trails off, horror evident in his eyes. "I'm so sorry, if you don't want me here, it's fine. I should go."
Your brain is trying to make out what he just said. Did he just say that he liked you or was that your hyperactive imagination going wild because you just saw Bucky Barnes in a white shirt and sweatpants?
"Did you say that you liked me?"
He swallowed a lump in his throat, before muttering a small 'yes'.
"Are you sure?"
"A hundred percent, yes," he replies, getting a bit confused.
You walk up to him, scanning his face. "You're not lying..."
"Why would I?"
"I just wanted to make sure that no one dared you to do this or anything."
He chuckles. "No, Y/N. No one's telling me to do this."
"Oh, good, then. Because I like you, too," you confess, a blush creeping on your cheeks.
"Yeah?"
"Do you remember that time when I screamed because I saw you 'cause I was so starstruck?"
"My mind does me a favor by playing that scene over and over again in my head. So yeah, I do remember that."
"That was embarrassing."
"No, it was adorable," he argues, grinning. "Can I..." he looks into your eyes, then his gaze shifts to your lips. "Can I kiss you? Is that okay?"
You nod and immediately feel his soft lips on yours, his metal arm supporting you by the waist as you practically melt into him.
Your first time together was on a chilly Friday night in mid October, when the temperature dropped just below comfort level and you both had to improvise to keep each other warm. The heater would've done the trick if it wasn't for Bucky's teasing.
Now, you both are sitting on the couch, the air-conditioners desperately trying to keep you guys cool under the summer heat.
"The man with the metal arm leans in, placing a kiss on his partner's cheek-"
"Shut up, Wilson," Bucky exclaims, wrapping an arm around you. "Let us have our moment."
"'Shut up, Wilson,' he says to his dearest best friend. Upon seeing them cuddle and get closer to each other, it is now decided that I should go because Bucky is death-glaring me."
"Leave them alone," Nat says with a laugh. "Let them do what they do."
"Natasha, do you remember the time they got it on all night? I mean, I get it. You're all super-soldier and stuff and you've got a shit ton of stamina, and you." He points to you,"You must be taking such good care of him cause I definitely have had a lifetime supply of hearing Bucky moan."
Bucky blushes beet red, while you hide your face on the crook of his neck.
"Sorry..." you reply sheepishly.
"We could get Tony to install soundproof walls," Bucky offers, and San just about choked while Nat's eyes widen to the size of saucers.
"We should definitely go," Sam tells Nat, grabbing her wrist and pulling her out of the living room.
The room is quiet for a while, with only the sound of the ACs and the quiet hum of the fridge.
"Did I hear this wrong, or did you guys just tell Wilson that you need me to put up soundproof walls in your room?" you both head Tony say through the speakers.
"You might want to," Bucky shouts, making sure that Tony could hear. "Especially for tonight," he mumbles into your skin, kissing your neck softly.
"Oh, shit, okay! I gotta go guys. It'll be done in a flash!"
