Myra's gaze transfixed on her boss, waiting for him to say anything.
She heard the crowd accusing her, some whispering, and some pointing fingers.

But, she stood her ground and looked at him, 'Say something, Nitin', she thought.

"Myra took the briefcase, during lunch time, when she had the correct opportunity with an empty office", said Lucy, head secretary.

She wanted to shout in frustration, instead with a head held high, she said, " Lucy, you can stop with your sob story, you got what you wanted. And for the rest of you, I quit, I can't work here if my loyalty, hard work and integrity is in question given my 100% in these 5 years". She said and looked at Nitin and went to collect her things.

"Come on, now is not the time to cry", she said to herself and went straight out of the building.
She hailed a cab and her composure wavered. Silent sobs took over. Returning home, she closed the door and broke down completely.

Nitin, didn't even say anything to stop the havoc Lucy created. Everybody knew she loved creating drama.

Suddenly, her phone rang in her hands. "Hello Dad", she said.

"Myra, what's wrong?" He asked.

"He didn't believe me dad. I thought he loved me too. But, I was so wrong", she sobbed over the phone.

"Give me 10 minutes", he said.
