Spectre-Venom Fanfic

Calm before the Storm

Days went by with brief phone calls and texts from both Eddie and Lia. Evan and Spectre got to know each other better and slowly developed rules and guidelines. They would continue their day with Spectre helping out Evan or at least try to. There was a brief warning on the news of a unknown symbiote that killed and ate an entire family and that the Avengers were on the search. They would go out looking and saving some people from small things like thieves and muggers. And on one occasion, stopped a truck from crashing into a school bus full of small children.

"Hey see I told you we could do good. Everything is going up hill. You are talking with Lia, Venom is helping us track down the other symbiotes, and I still get to eat." Spectre said as they were walking down a street one late evening.

"Yeah I guess you're right, the eating people is still a bit off putting though." Evan says as Spectre cuts him off as he is speaking.

"Hurry! In the alley now!" He said as they darted in the alley and the suit once again encased him giving all the powers. With that he darted out and lunged down the street and turned a corner to see Lasher holding a man in one hand and trapping a family against a building.

"You all will be suitable food." Lasher said as a purple spear was thrown and hit Lashers hand and he dropped the man. With that Spectre quickly tackled the symbiote and a fight ensued. Lasher surprised by the sudden attack he was taken off guard and beaten but not without putting up a fight injuring Spectre. Lasher quickly ran and escaped as spectre turned to the family who looked mortified of seeing this giant symbiote. The man had grabbed a handgun and held it pointing at the giant symbiote.

"Get any closer to us and I'll shoot you! Who are you?" The man said. Spectre stood calm and looked at him than off in the distance where he could see a Avenger ship coming towards them quickly. He changed back and was absorbed into the skin as Evan started to walk he looked back.

"We are Spectre." He said before walking off quickly before the Avenger ship was overhead them. He walked away hearing voices of different Avenger officers getting off the ship and he looked towards the scene seeing officers with their weapons drawn and on top of the building he saw a figure in a red and blue suit, swinging on a rope like substance and landed on a small ledge. They walked off and back to their apartment. Later that night they got a knock on the door. Evan opened the door to see Lia pushing her way in and shoving her phone in his face. He sees a video that isn't very good quality but very clearly shows the fight between Spectre and Lasher. Than in a different video it shows Evan nearby looking at the scene.

"Oh yea I saw that it was crazy." Evan said.

"Evan i'm not stupid. The video shows the monster running towards the scene you weren't anywhere nearby. Then suddenly your walking away. How did you get to the scene without the video seeing it! Your that giant monster that they are looking for!" Lia yelled. "What I don't know what youre talking about." Evan said

"You're wanted by the Avengers, you've killed and EATEN people! When did you plan on telling me this!?" Lia proclaimed.

"No you're over exaggerating. I'm not that symbiote." Evan spoke.

"Oh than this won't bother you." She pulled out a lighter, ignited it, and held it out next to his face while scrolling through her phone. "Lia! What are you doing?!" Evan said as he flinched back, with this she started playing a video that slowly got higher and higher pitched. Once it got to a pitch he lunged back and the symbiote started to writhe in pain and a blue goo shot out and smashed the phone against the wall. Once the sound stopped the goo wrapped around and a face was formed. "Do NOT ever play that sound again!" Spectre barked as Lia jumped back and she ran to the door when another blue goo shot out and blocked the door. "Lia wait! It's not that bad" Evan yelled trying to get her to stop.

"No, you eat people! You kill people! And you have another symbiote living inside you! I'm gonna turn you in." Lia preached.

"No it's not what it seems. I'm trying to help people." Evan said.

"That's not the best idea. Trust me the rest of my race will destroy and dominate this planet. Only a few of us are willing to stand up against the rest of our race. We have me, Spectre, Venom, and Sonic. We can save this. You think those pathetic Avengers can stop Kintar? They will be overwhelmed. We know how they fight, how they act, what they want. We can save this. Now don't turn us in. Trust me the only reason your not dead is because Evan has feelings for you." Spectre said as he glared at Lia.

"Lia please calm down, let's talk about it. I can show you its not bad. He has helped me and we have saved people. We have saved lives, and i've seen it. He is right. The other symbiotes are strong. The Avengers would have no idea how to fight them and lives would be lost." Evan spoke calmly.

"Fine i'll listen." Lia said. The three all talked the rest of the night and Lia slowly started to see their point of view.

The next day Evan met with Eddie and all four talked. And Venom discovered that the symbiotes were going to try and take over a small Avenger base and use the weapons, such as missiles, lasers, heavy weaponry, to take over the nearby area and with time send a signal to their home planet to get reinforcements to help them conquer.

"Wait why are you helping us? Don't you want the same power they want?" Evan asked.

"No we don't. We were banished from our home for just that. We didn't want to fully dominate and destroy. We wanted to live in harmony with our hosts and their culture. That's why the three of us are the only ones that want to fight back." Both Venom and Spectre said.

"Wait I was told about one named Sonic. Where is he?" Eddie asked

"We don't know." Venom responded

"The plan will work but it will be difficult. They are stronger, they are the offspring of venom. But they fail to think, all they want is power. That's how we will win this, we have to win this with planning not just blind fighting." Spectre said. They came together and all came up with a plan to stop the symbiotes. They spent three weeks gathering supplies and with Lia's help they came up with everything they needed.

"Evan, be safe. Please." Lia said as she left his apartment. Later that day Spectre spoke with Evan.

"Evan, this fight, it won't be easy. And I don't know if we can kill them. But we can try. You changed the way I saw humanity. I didn't hate humanity but I didn't like it. It's not that bad though. I kinda got used to it all. Thank you, Evan." Spectre said into his head when they were in their apartment

"Your talking like you dont think we'll make it out of this alive." Evan said.

"I don't know if we will." Spectre said

"Well let's at least try." Evan said enthusiastically knowing Spectre was saying the truth.
