Making a Name

The news was full of stories of the attack on the Avengers base. Eddie had sent a text about three weeks after the attack "Hey Evan and Spectre. You've seen the messages that the Avengers have left for us around the city. Me and Venom set up a small meetup with some Avengers to talk and maybe make a truce. You are welcome to join. Just meet me at my place, at noon tomorrow. We are just trusting them that it's not a trap. But having some back up would be nice." They knew they had to go. They couldn't just let them walk into what very well might be a trap. And if Iron Man would be there maybe, just maybe, they could avenger their fallen brother. Without any argument both Evan and Spectre agreed to go with them. That night Lia arrived at the apartment complex. They sat down and ate a nice dinner but something was not right with Evan and Lia saw it.

"What's wrong?" Lia asked.

"Nothing." Evan responded with almost no emotion.

"Evan, I'm not stupid. Something's bothering you. What is it?" Lia asked persistently.

"Tomorrow, i'm going to a meeting spot with Avengers." He responded knowing she was too stubborn to take nothing as an answer.

"WHAT!? Avengers?" She asked almost spitting her drink.

"Yea me and Eddie, which will also include Spectre and Venom. We are going to talk about a truce, and if that doesn't work we can just try to Avenge Sonic's death." Evan said explains it all to her.

"What if it's a trap?" She asked worried.

"Than we fight and run." Evan responded as they continued to talk throughout the night.

The next day Evan and Eddie met slowly making their way down to a industrial building once again. Before entering they both transformed and than entered into the building where they saw a lot of armed guards that they knew were no match for them if they were to fight. But in the middle were actual threats to them. Hawkeye, Blackwidow, Iron Man, and Spider-Man all stood armored and ready.

"Oh look the two parasites showed up." Hawkeye said taunting them.

"We are not parasites." Said Venom.

They talked and tried to come to an agreement, the two symbiotes said that they were doing good by saving people and stopping crime, they argued they substituted human meat with other meats and chocolates. The Avengers argued they were a threat to society and a fight broke out. The two symbiotes were able to fight off all the guards and held the Avengers at bay. They dodged Iron Mans laser and soon took Hawkeye and Blackwidow out of the fight. They fight continued in and around the warehouse. They slowly gained ground on the two Avengers that stood a threat by working together, only and taking minor damage. The fight continued as Venom broke part of Iron Man's suit making it unable to fly. Spectre stood fighting Spider-Man before throwing him hard into a wall. With both symbiotes targeting Iron Man, he soon fell as his lasers missed more and more of his shots aimed at the two giant symbiotes. Than as Iron Man fell Spectre picked him up by the head and held him tightly.

"You. You killed our brother. We were trying to help. We knew the others wanted to attack the base. The others want to destroy and dominate this world. But we are different. We think different. We like this world. It has potential. The other symbiotes are dangerous. They are strong, they can fight all of you. But us, we can stand a chance in fighting them. We know how they think, how they act. We are humanities best choice." Spectre spoke as he slowly tightened his grip cracking the red helmet.
