Chapter 7- Back Home

Layne's POV

"Layne, are you ready? We'll be going in a few minutes. I'll just meet you downstairs" Brandon told me his hands carrying my bag. I nodded in agreement then he walked out of my room. I take a looked at my room for the last time.

I'm gonna miss this

I'm gonna be away for three months, this is gonna be my longest vacation. Usually, my vacations only last for a week or two, but this will be three months. But before I can have my full time vacation, I still have a photoshoot at L.A for three days. After that, my real vacation will start.

I then decided to go downstairs and My mom, Brandon,  Carmen, and Kiara are waiting for me already.

"Took you long enough" Brandon mumubled but I heard him clearly. I just gave him an apologetic smile then faced Mom.

"You're really not going?" I asked her

She smiled at me then shook her head " I can't dear. I still have to fix some things here in London" she said "I'm sure you're gonna be fine, your father will be there. He said he wants to spend the summer with you, it's been three years since he last saw you" she continued.

I just nod and hugged her tightly, afraid of loosing her. And I'm glad she hugged me back.

We soon bid our goodbyes to my Mum and got inside the car. We arrived at the airport  just on time our private jet arrived, we are now on the plane waiting to take off.

I was currently watching the view from the window when somebody tapped my shoulder, I turned and saw the three of them looking at me concern filling their eyes. I gave them a reassuring smile "I'm fine guys, I'm just gonna miss home" all of them nodded and gone back to what they were doing earlier.

"Pasengers, this is your captain speaking, please fasten your seat belts for we are about to take off" The caption pilot said through the speaker. We then did what we were instructed.

This is it. I'm now heading for California to spend my whole summer.

"Wake up, were already here" A voice startled me from my sleep.  But I just ignored it and go back to my sleep. I felt them shook my body enough for me to wake up. I groaned from my seat and rub my eyes. I cringe because of the sunlight, it's like burning my eyes.

"It's good that you're finally awake. Welcome to San Fransisco California" Carmen said full of enthusiasm in her voice. I nodded and smiled back at her.

Let me tell you this, Carmen is Brandon's girlfriend. There relationship is already a tear and a half. They really love each other, that's why I love I don't want their relationship to end. That's why, I will support their love team.

"Wow, this house is beautiful" I exclaim, we are now in front of the house where the four of us will be staying for the whole summer. Brandon said Dad's house is only a town away. I like it here because it's near the beach and it's got an amazing view and tons of fresh air. "This is our rest house, we used to go here before. I'm glad Dad didn't let other people touch this. He said it will be his biggest memory of us family" Brandon said standing next to me.

"Come on, let's get inside" Carmen called from the house. Brandon and I then proceeded to get inside. I gasped at the view. This house is not only beautiful outside, but also inside. It got an amazing marble staircase, the walls are pure white, and it got paintings all over the house. I need to look for Brandon, I want to get a tour of the house. "Brandon, can you show us around the house?" I asked him. He smiled at me "Sure little Sis" he said "Just follow me" he adds then starts to walk around the house.

"So, what is your favorite part of this house?" He asked me, we are now in the living room. Brandon said Carmen has gone somewhere to attend to, Kiara? Sleeping in her room, she said she's tired because she didn't get to sleep during the ride.

"Hmmmm, it will be the piano room. I love to play piano and it calms me" I told him. "That's great, it's good to hear you play again. He said smiling at me.

"You better get some sleep then I'll wake you up cause we're gonna have dinner with Dad"

"Do we have to?" I whined

"Yes little sis, only you, Kiara, and me because Carmen's busy" He says walking out.

"Fine" I answered while going down to my room hoping to find some better sleep.
