Love Is A Leap

Chapter Three.

So just as usual my New Year was going to be pretty boring because this time I did not even have Mel to share it with because she had very graciously accepted her friends offer to spend the New Year with her and of course Mel had to agree. So here I'm sitting on the couch and watching movies. Though Hugh Jackman was my favourite for once in my life I did not wanna see any romantic movie that is why I switched to a horror movie instead, and just as the girl was about to eat the man my phone rang; well that's the story of my life.

"Hellooo?" I asked.

"Hi Sammy, are you busy?"

It was Matt. The last person I expected to call me.

"Nope, what do you want?"

"Oh well, Ellie asked me to ask you to come down and spend the New Year with us if you're not busy of course and if you are interested and also she wanted you to try on the bridesmaid dress. So are you interested? I'm in town and can pick you up. "

Wow that was the last thing I thought he would say but I knew he was worried that I might turn down the offer and anyway his plan was better than spending the New Year alone seeing horror movies.

"Hey, if you're being polite, you don't have to I told you I'm happy that you are getting married and I'm not against it also I don't want to intrude." I said.

"You are not. Remember we are asking you so you wanna come? " He replied and I smiled.

"Yes, thank you, you are an angel because you might just change my boring new years eve to a good one. When can you come? " I asked, looking at the watch.

That's when the doorbell rang.

"Hey hang on a second." I went to open the door and as soon as I opened the door I cursed.

"Holy shit, Matt! Are you crazy? Are you mad? All the time you were standing out, Man, are you that scared of me?" Oh my god Matt was standing at the door looking all scared and flushed.

"Jesus Christ Matt you are 25, you don't want me anymore to make decisions for you." I was sooo angry with him.

"I'll always need you Sammy maybe you don't need me anymore but I love you that is why I couldn't stand it when Edward called and told me that you were here all alone." He was saying the words so softly. That's when I realised what my outburst looked like to him. He thought I did not care.

"Listen Matt, I'm so sorry I was just angry that you were scared to talk to me face-to-face and anyways you know that I'll always love you. I'm so sorry. " I went to him and hugged him.

"Sorry" He whispered to me.

So after this I went to my room packed a bag and went to Matt's car and we headed for his house.

The journey was long and boring but Enrique's voice was there to soothe me.

So as soon as we parked outside his house Matt started issuing me with all kinds of instructions like behave, be nice, show kindness, don't complaint .... And all kinds of stuff. And for the first time I realised he looked like a guy head over heels in love.

So we went in I met Elizabeth and I have to say that she is very beautiful and whenever she looked at Matt she had this glow on her face that gave me the impression that she was too head over heels and also they both were perfect for each other.

By the time for dinner I was thoroughly exhausted and just wanted to pop into the bed. After dinner Matt suggested that I try on the bridesmaid dress.

"Hey listen Ellie and Matt I would appreciate it if you could give me the dress and I try it at home." I saw them both exchange looks and added hurriedly,
