"The boss wants to see you" Jake finally broke the silence. I got up from the bed and followed him out. Thankful that we were not in the same room together. I don't trust him. I don't trust anyone besides Niall I guess. My family left me a while ago, not being the perfect daughter they wanted. They sent me to a boarding school and when I finished my studies I cut off my contacts with them. They were more than glad. The cold floor underneath my bare feat made my body shiver slightly. We walked in silence. Glad. We were soon in front of a corridor which had a sign board hung on the wall 'restricted area'. The corridor was lined with guards on both sides, everyone wearing black and had a gun. As we walked passed them, I could feel all their eyes on me. I tried acting confidant and undaunted. I shouldn't have worn shorts, but Niall brought me these clothes. And I was also thankful that they hadn't made me strip. Yet. I've seen enough of movies, I know what people like these do. The walls were now red, a dim light shone on our head. We were in front of a door, black in colour and had a flying eagle engraved in gold in it. Two guards pushed it open and Jake and I stepped inside. The walls were a dull grey, a large book shelve that touched the ceiling, tall stand lamps on the corners with potted plants around them. There was also a large flat screen television on the wall, plush leather couches in front and a large table in the centre, loads of paperwork piled on it, a table lamp and couple of pen holders filled with shiny designer pens. I looked around absorbing the surroundings until a voice startled me, "Demetria Lovato. What a pleasure" a deep voice spoke. A man walked down the spiral staircase that I didn't notice before. He wore a suit, all black and a crisp white shirt underneath. He had raven hair which was in a high quiff, he had tan skin and an eye was covered with a black patch. The typical dangerous gang leader, the megamind behind unfortunate happenings around a country. "I could say the same" I said, poison lacing my words. He let out a sinister laugh, gazing at me. I felt like shrinking in this gaze but I wouldn't let him overpower me. I kept my composure intact and eyes ablazing with aggression.
"Very stubborn. Just what Niall needed" he let out his laugh again. "Tie her up" he ordered. Instantly, two hands gripped mine and instantly pulled them back to my behind. Before I could comprehend and my reflexes could react someone had kneed the back of my knees and I was on the floor. My hands were tied skillfully and quickly, it wasn't Jake but a guard that I had walked passed. I was dragged and made to sit on a stiff wooden chair. My legs were tied to the chair's straight legs and my hands were re-tied to the back of the chair. The guard brought a single couch in front of me and the guy in the suit placed himself in it comfortably.
"I'm David" the so called boss spoke.
"I would care less" I spat.
"Feisty eh? Not for long" an evil smile made way on his face.
"What do you want from me?" I asked, calmly.
"I'll ask you few questions and you answer them honestly. When you don't, you receive a sweet little punishment" he smiled. His one eye that was uncovered and fine was a very peculiar colour of grayish blue and the colour showed power, domination; something to be feared of.
"So be honest" Jake handed him a knife with a black handle which again had a flying eagle. Was this their symbol or something? I gulped, clearly aware what that knife could do to my flesh. I nodded sincerely.
"Where is the stock?" He asked, his gaze static on my face.
"What stock?"
"The special delivery" he stated.
"I don't know" I said truthfully. He brought the knife to my right collarbone. "I don't know. Really" I said. Before I could say anything further the knife pushed against the bone, cutting the skin of. The pain taking over as he pushed the knife further, blood trickled down. I let out a painful scream. My breathing was uneven.
"Alright then maybe you'll know where is Niall's undercover ordnance factory is?" he asked as his pulled back the knife which was now sheathed with my blood. The pain and burning in my collar was not easy to be explained in just words from the mouth of a living being. I had never experienced such physical pain.
"I don't know. I don't know anything about him in what he deals with" I screamed, tears racing down my face.
"Liar!" he shouted "tell me or you know what" he said, this time bringing the knife to my thigh and pulling down a long streak. A deep slit was drawn causing blood to spill everywhere. I screamed in pain.
"She's useless, call Horan" David spoke to the guard. The guards handed him a phone. My vision had gone slightly blurry due to the spilling of tears.
"Long time Horan" David spoke, turning the loud speaker on and another cut was made on my left shoulder. I let out a blood curdling scream followed by sobs.
"The f**k David! How dare you!? Stop it" I heard Niall shout through the phone. David's large calloused hand collided with my right cheek. I was sure, my lip my now bleeding. I could taste it on my tongue.
"Please don't" I cried. This was physical torment. I rather die right now.
"Leave her alone David. Bad move, f**king bad move" Niall shouted.
"Not so easy Horan. Not so easy" David laughed. I was cursing him on my mind.
"Niall please save me" I screamed which turned out to be a shaky plea instead.
"Demi! Demi? I'll save you. I'll get you okay? Stay strong. Don't give up. I'm on my way" Niall cooed. I cried even harder.
"Only if it was so easy" David laughed and threw the phone across the room before it collided into the wall and shattered. Just like my life was at the moment. Niall please. Please get me out of here.
