I want you to notice me when I walk in the room
Notice my voice how I'm always humming a tune
Each step I take is full of purpose
My lips are humble never cursing
The clothes I wear aren't the usual
It's quite untouchable very beautiful
When I look in the mirror I'm talking to you
I need to accept all of me not just a few
Validation is not one to be messed with
It cages your mind into living off of compliments
Awaiting for glory just to be satisfied
This type of satisfaction will be expired by
The time you look at your own reflection
You can't crave affection and also want attention
Batting your mascara eyes with your beat complexion
Beaten up by the validation obsession
