Nightmare - Luke*

          Omg finally an update. My writing has improved and this is just a Luke smut I wrote while bored. Hopefully there will be more updates to come. This one has a more evolved writing style than the rest. Requests? Enjoy.

         I took a sip of my water and sat on the couch. I looked around me and felt a sense of warmth and familiarity. There was Michael, Crystal, Ashton, Calum, and Luke. We were all sitting in the living room of the 5sos house. I'd been living here the past few weeks because fans had figured out where I live and begun storming the apartment building which resulted in the landlord kicking me out. I wasn't dating any of them but fans still came up with rumors and theories. I felt bad staying at the boys' house without paying them but we'd been friends for so long that it didn't feel awkward at all. Plus, it was perfect because Michael had just moved out and into his own house with Crystal so there was an empty room.

          I absentmindedly laughed at a joke and sipped on my water. When I looked up Luke was staring at me. I stuck my tongue out at him playfully which for some reason made him frown and look away. I furrowed my brows. Things had been a little weird lately. I kept catching Luke staring at me as if there was something he wanted to confess. Our conversations were flirty but that's how they'd always been. We'd always been the type of friends who flirt with each other but don't actually mean it. But I found myself questioning if we actually didn't mean it. I quickly unfurrowed my brows and joined the rest of the group in conversation, brushing off Luke's recent odd behavior as my imagination. I stood up to throw my cup away and grab some food.

         As I opened up the trash can, a grunt from behind me startled me and I dropped the cup. I quickly picked it up and threw it away before looking behind me to see who the culprit was. Luke. As soon as I realized it's him, I relaxed and reached out to mess with his hair.

"You scared me." I stated as if he didn't already know. He grinned.

"It's not my fault you scare so easy." His face got serious and he looked down, almost shyly. "I wanted to talk to you about something." I pulled my hand out of his hair and stiffened.

"You can talk to me about anything Lukey." I tried to stop my imagination from going wild about what he's going to say next but it thought of everything except what he actually said.

"You've... you've been screaming in your sleep. Last night you were screaming all night. I only heard cuz our room are next to each other. I was going to do something but I didn't know if you'd be okay with me coming in to your room without asking or not." I mentally facepalmed myself but also felt embarrassed because I instantly knew what the nightmares were about.

"I'm so sorry Luke. I didn't mean to wake you up. It's just that sometimes I get nightmares about the crash...." Luke knew what I was talking about. My alcoholic dad had crashed a car while I was in it as a kid which had resulted in his death. Luke pulled me into a hug.

"Don't worry about it. I didn't tell you to make you feel guilty about anything. Is it okay if I come into your room next time it happens? To comfort you? It scared me so much to hear you in pain even if it was just a dream." I bit my lip and considered it. I hadn't had any nightmares until last night so I doubted it would happen again which is the only reason I find myself saying yes to Luke.

The next couple nights go by fine. Nothing happens. I still catch Luke staring at me sometimes but brush it off as paranoia. It wasn't until the 3rd night that it happened.

Luke's POV

I instantly jolt awake as soon as I hear it. The screams. I fumble for a few seconds before finding the switch to the lamp and turning it on. I throw on a pair of boxers and step into the hallway. I gently open the door and slowly walk into the room but don't waste any time running to the bed as soon as I see y/n screaming and thrashing around. I immediately hold her arms down and shake her awake.
