Hello, I made a playlist on spotify (go to my profile elinamichaelis, it's the playlist called come home, obviously) and on youtube (I know you can't click on it, but here is the link, otherwise you won't find it: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNjOannqmc32v7YhP1bXvzpmb-hoN1mOQ ) containing the songs I listen to while writing this book. I tried to somehow make them in a chronological order, but some songs are already for upcoming scenes. I'll update the playlist ever now and then!

The worst thing for Yoongi is the uncertainty. Every day, he spends too much time just sitting there, staring into the air while his mind is going crazy about what could have happened to Jimin.
He knows that the longer there is absolutely no sign of him, the likelier it'll be that he really didn't run away, but rather something worse happened. Like... an abduction. Although Yoongi has rejected the idea of Jimin being a runaway from the beginning on, it would've been the lesser evil.
If Jimin really ran away, though, should Yoongi not feel guilty? It would have to have something to do with him, he must've triggered it, since he was the last person Jimin apparently talked to.

"Fucking hell," Yoongi mutters and rubs his face, "I'm going fucking crazy over this."
He looks up and blinks. He cleaned the mess he made a few days ago after the police officers arrived up; but other than that, his apartment is a disaster. Yoongi has had neither the energy nor the will to clean up, it's already hard enough to go to work every day and pretend that nothing is wrong, that he isn't worried sick about his beloved one.
It's been eight days since Jimin's disappearance, after all, and although that wouldn't have been a long timespan in any other context, it now seems like the irrefutable proof for Jimin's death.
In his concerned state, Yoongi did some research – it wasn't hard to find out that the first 48 hours are the most important in finding a missing person, as it's most likely they'll be found then. The trail is still fresh, but it goes colder and colder with every new day passing. Now, after eight days, all the police seem to have found is a mobile phone that didn't lead them anywhere.

So, all Yoongi can do is wait. Wait, wait, wait and see, hope that Jimin is alright wherever he is and that he knows that Yoongi is worried sick – it hurts at least ten times more than what it felt like missing Jimin for two years.

It's on the tenth day that Yoongi gets a call.
At first, he doesn't even register it – it's 7am on his free Saturday and he is still asleep. But once the ringing gets too obnoxious, he suddenly starts from his sleep and is already blindly reaching for his phone before he even sits up properly.

"Hello?" he says once he has picked up, his voice sounding hoarse and sleepy.
"Good morning, sir," a woman's voice at the other end of the line says, "Am I talking to Min Yoongi?"
Yoongi halts. "Yes."
"Oh, great," the woman says, albeit not sounding excited. "My name is Bae Seoyeon from the Seoul Private Investigation Agency."
At that, Yoongi pricks up his ears. Suddenly, he doesn't feel all too tired anymore.
"Investigation?" he asks while sitting up, "Is this about – "
"Park Jimin, yes," Bae Seoyeon confirms, "I'm a private detective hired by his parents to find their son. I assume you agree that it's a necessity that I talk to you."
Yoongi raises his eyebrows. "Oh, yeah, sure," he says, glancing at the clock, "I just... didn't expect it this early in the morning."
"I'm sorry, but I didn't think wasting any more time would've been appropriate."
"No, sure. You're right." Yoongi sits at the edge of his bed, runs a hand through his messy hair. God, he had maybe gotten four hours of sleep, and the past few nights didn't look any better either.
"So, uh... what am I supposed to do?" Yoongi asks and immediately wants to slap himself. Tell them what you know, dumbass, he thinks. When Bae Seoyeon speaks up, though, she sounds neither amused nor annoyed.
"My assistant and I need to talk to you. Are you at home right now?"
Yoongi raises his eyebrows. "Well, yeah. But – "
"We are on our way, we will be there in about half an hour."
"Wait," Yoongi says, eyes wide, "Isn't that a bit quick? How do you even know where I live?"
"We're working together with the police," Bae Seoyeon says as if it was the most obvious thing on earth, "And no, I don't think so. Do you?" And when Yoongi doesn't reply, she adds, "We cannot waste any more time, sir."
With that, she hangs up.
