Hello good evening PLEASE READ THIS!
So, I used to do this thing a lot where I chose a song, linked it at the beginning of the chapter and during the chapter, I told the reader when to start the song so it would fit the mood, and I thought I'd bring this back for Come Home, only with maybe even more than one song per chapter. So, I'll go through the entire book and add songs where I want to have them and if you guys want to read certain passages with maybe the right music to go, go ahead and reread it lol

(also this chapter is a bad example for this idea sometimes it works out really well though lol I'm sorry djdhsjf)

Song of the chapter: Chemicals by Little May (linked to the chapter)

"Okay, so, what do we know so far?"

Jeongguk reaches across the table to grab a list he made; it's a few days post-visit at Namjoon's house and they decided to meet up again, this time at Yoongi's place. And without Namjoon of course. Both Yoongi and Jeongguk haven't heard anything from him and honestly, Yoongi is doubting that he ever will again.

"So, okay, let's start with Seokjin. We don't know anything about the other victims around that time, but Seokjin disappeared on June 18th, 2015. He suffered from major depression and in his car the police found a suicide note, so the first thought was that he killed himself," Jeongguk starts, "But his body was never found."
"Which is the only evidence against suicide," Yoongi adds at which Jeongguk shoots him a glare.
"Right. Also, according to Namjoon, the letter was written by Seokjin. It was his handwriting."
"And he was openly gay which correlates with the other cases," Yoongi mumbles and leans back in his loveseat.
"Which leads us to Taehyung," Jeongguk says with a hint of hurt that he tries to mask in his voice.
"Kidnapped on October 21st 2017, almost a year ago."
"His disappearance makes less sense," Yoongi says, leaning forward, his elbows resting on his knees, "He wrote a letter in which he stated he needed to start over somewhere else because he was unhappy – "
"But he never voiced any discontentment before, and he would never hurt his family or me like that, I know that," Jeongguk mumbles. His eyes flicker across the list in his hands.
"The letter was, again, written by him, though. It was his handwriting."
Yoongi nods slowly.
"And Jimin didn't even have any note whatsoever," he says quietly, "He just... disappeared exactly 19 days ago, on the 1st of September. And all that was found was his goddamn mobile phone ready to call the police."
Silence ensues as they both think. Somehow, all of this makes sense – but then again, not at all. A dull ache makes itself noticeable in Yoongi's head.

"Bae Seoyeon said that he came out to his entire school on his graduation, so the person who kidnapped him was very likely in the audience," Jeongguk summarizes the rest, "Was there anyone who hated Jimin?"
The question itself is so odd to Yoongi that he can't help but laugh quietly.
"Not that I'd know," he says with a shrug, "I mean, I have no idea what happened the last two years I wasn't at school anymore, but I seriously can't imagine someone holding a grudge against Jimin."
Jeongguk nods slowly. Again, he scans the list in his hands, over and over again, as if he was looking for something they had missed.
Suddenly, his eyes widened.

"Of course, Jimin didn't leave a note," he says, "Because he didn't have to."
At that, Yoongi has to frown. "What the hell's that supposed to mean?"
"Well, it's simple," Jeongguk says and scoots to the edge of the couch, "For Seokjin and Taehyung the abductor didn't have a coverup. An alibi, if you want. Seokjin was alone and Taehyung, sure, he was on his way home from my place, but he did call his mother on his way home. So, she knew that he wasn't with me anymore. But Jimin – " He shakes his head. "Jimin was last seen with you, leaving the café, and you were the last person he texted. So, this makes – "
"Me the main suspect for Jimin's case," Yoongi mumbles as he realizes it, "Sure, I mean, the police were here and asked me questions, but they didn't seem very suspicious."
"Bae Seoyeon doesn't seem to think you have anything to do with it either," Jeongguk says, "Or maybe she does and this is all just part of her plan."
