Not a goodbye

- I see wrinkles on my hand.
- I pull my hair down,
- and it is all grey.
- This time, it's not from getting it dyed.
- I really don't know how this happened.

- I'm sure of the fact that this might be the end.
- Standing on a hill, with bright green grass.
- For this last moment, I take a peice,
- and I use it to cut my skin.
- Atlast, my brown eyes fade into the color blue.
- Looking up, I see clouds that remind me of you.

- Where did the time go?
- The broken clock got up and rolled away.
- It seems like just yesterday,
- I was going through a nother teenage phase.
- I wish I could revisit the days
- When i used to skip around the yard,
- and curl up with two fluffy dogs.

- I wonder why I never thought I was good enough.
- I was beautiful,
- and I didn't have to change myself inorder to be rebellious.

- This is my final song.
- The last time I use my voice in any tune or rhyme.
- Words are shapes made by the lips.
- Boxed within quotes, what I say can never be replaced.

- Chipmuncks play in a fenced in yard.
- If you open the gates,
- make sure no sparks get out.
- The magic I create, will forever bake.
- As for I,
- It is known that no human can live forever.

- As I hold this blade of green,
- I notice the day is no longer bright.
- The sun has gone down,
- and the moon has shown up.
- The sky is purple,
- so I guess this means my time is up.

- When you go to sleep,
- conceal a photo of me.
- When you wake up,
- laminate this hill,
- knowing that someday my love,
- this is where we'll first meet.

- Leave it to me to say goodnight.
- Understand that this is not a goodbye.
- Dream sweet,
- and don't let the chipmuncks fight.

I wrote this to try to create something in a perspective that I don't have yet. To try to empathize with an old woman, me as an old woman and what I'd say. And at this time I planned that when I'm old I would let nature take me away, if do so in my control.
