I was so busy in my thoughts that I hardly realised the sun going down and the darkness taking over. I believe I might be too involved in ogling at him that I didn't even realized when I ended up on this hospital bed.

I slowly opened my eyes to face my parents standing beside my bed in the ICU. Shockingly Kashan was there too... And he looked pretty tensed.

"How do you feel now?" the doctor asked checking my pulse.

"Little bit pain in my head and I'm too cold." I answered.

"We'll wait for your blood reports to come. You better take rest till then." he advised. He asked everyone to leave me alone for sometime and gave me sedatives.

After a few hours I opened my eyes and to my surprise I found Zamaira sitting beside me. I was pretty much sure that I was dreaming. Zamaira would never return, even if i die.

"You are too brave and too stupid for going through all this. You should just give up and follow my way." she said.

I tried to open my eyes a bit more but failed. The dose was too high.

"Neither I'm brave, nor stupid. I know what I'm doing. You are an idiot for running though." I heard Kashan answer her.

What the hell is going on here? She hugged him and wiped a few tears that escaped her eyes.

"Dad is getting you two married. He would never listen to me... He wouldn't even care for our feelings... It's better this way. Take care of her. I'll visit you soon." she sobbed and parting away from him caressed my face. She gave a kiss on my forehead and left. My head ached even more hearing everything and I fainted again.

The next morning I woke up with a severe headache. I felt pretty weird realising about the dream I had last night but I couldn't get it out of my mind. I looked around but there was no one. They had shifted me to a private ward. I called out for help but no one answered.

And that's how they treat the future wife of the next ruler of the state. My throat demanded water and even it was placed at a good distance from my bed. I somehow managed to reach the bottle of water and poured it in a glass. I was taking slow sips when suddenly someone knocked at the door and it stretched wide open.

"Princess needs to rest and not walk around drinking wine. I think that's clear enough, although I won't mind if you get drunk and take my advantage." Of all the people, he was the most annoying yet supportive person through these years. Kaif Ali, son of late Aftab Ali, the third friend in my father's circle.

Abbu, Usman uncle and Aftab uncle were a pack since their high school. Some ten years back Aftab uncle said his last Salam to my Dad on a phone call and met with an accident a few minutes later. His wife survived, he didn't.

"It's not wine, and I don't need to be drunk to take your advantage." I flirt walking towards him.

His lips had a generous smile and his grey eyes appeared too stressed with the current sight.

"You look exhausted." he cares my face as I reach out to hug him.

Two things about Kaif, he liked me more than he should, yet he was never sure what he wants to do about it and he knew I liked him a lot too, but was sure I had feelings for Kashan which I denied.

"Winni, go lie down, I'll call the doctor." he advised. Advised. Because he was the only one who took my commands and never bullied me.

"Where is everyone?" I asked as he helped me lay down on the bed.

"Your parents are speaking to the doctor." he replied.

Asking about "others" would have been a waste of time for I know he would be busy with his daily routine. He must be in the cafeteria right now, doing his job.

"How come you are here?" I questioned.

"Well, I heard about you being here and I had to get my mother here too so... " he sighed.

"How is she now?" I asked holding his hand as he sat beside me on the bed.

"Honestly, I don't know. All I know is she is in pain..." he gasped.

His mother has undergone 2 open heart surgeries, the third one isn't much far. She is a warrior and she has given birth to one too. I have never seen Kaif complain, although at times he did get discouraged but still he kept on smiling.

"Waraina?" my mother entered the room with the doctor. Kaif gave them space while she stared at him for being here too.

"My lady, you need to take good care of yourself. Your reports are normal, you are just low on blood." the doctor said.

"Can I go back home?" I asked.

"Well, yes. Only if you promise to eat healthy." he smiled and signed on some papers.

"What are you doing here?" mom asked Kaif.

"Waiting to get slayed by you." he winked at her and then went on to kiss her cheek.

She seemed to love him more than me. Kaif deserved all this. He was the sweetest guy, a little flirt, but amazing.

"I'll drive you guys home?" he asked more like suggested. Kaif was the only one who hated to decide, for him it was always about suggesting and asking.

"Alright. But I think I'll stay with your mother. You drive Waraina home and inform your partner." mom ordered before leaving us alone.

And this brings us back to informing "others".

"Partner?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Fine. Kashan was busy so instead Usman uncle sent me to visit you." he pouted.

"I won't be shocked if on the day of my wedding Usman uncle asks me to marry you because of Kashan being too busy." I taunted.

This was supposed to hurt him but he simply laughed along. Ironically, I don't understand, one doesn't love me, one does love me, the one who doesn't love me wants to marry me, the one who does love me doesn't want to marry me... And the one I love is lost in some other world!

Allah Miyan, what was I doing when my destiny was getting written?
