"Why did you leave?" I asked again.

"We have already had this discussion. Drop me to the Central Park." she ordered.

"No. We haven't. And I'm not letting you go this time." I said as I pulled the breaks. Her eyes deepened as if trying to read my expressions. I quickly shifted my gaze away not letting her win.

"This time?" she began - "This time? Let it be Kaif Ali... Holding on is not something you are good at. Good bye."
She jumped out of the jeep even before I could react and walking into the fog disappeared.

Each and every step that she took reminded me of the several promises I made to Waraina. I promised her in all situations, Zamaira will have me by her side, and by letting her go again, I failed her trust.

Waraina's P. O. V:

As the morning breeze tortured my eyes to open wide, I realised I wasn't in my usual bed but I was lying on the floor of my balcony hugging his jacket. I never knew things will turn out to be a massacre once I grow up. Since childhood all I wanted was Kashan and now all I had was our old memories. I could hardly forget the time we had spent together. I could hardly imagine that all those cute little things that he did were not for me but for my sister. And the fact that now he'll be forced to live with me was another reason for my fears.

I got dressed up and without wasting much time left for my college. I had a recovery class before my final exams could start.

Everything seemed to be perfect yet again the only fault in this morning again was Kashan. I had texted him Good morning which he had deliberately ignored. I asked the driver to wait for an hour or two as I had only one class and entered the college gates.

Once in the class, I gathered all my mind and focused on my last class for the entire course.

Around 40 minutes later the professor dismissed the class. I was quite the entire time.

"We are going to Cafeteria to celebrate our graduation, come along?" Fabiya asked. She had this pleasant smile stuck to her face that wanted me to live the last good times thoroughly.

"Sure." I replied without hesitation.

We walked to our seat at the cake walk and I ordered my all time favorite desert. While we were clicking picture, a 6'ft tall man stood beside us smiling like an idiot.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him as he kept on ogling at me.

"I came to check on you on behalf of your fiancé." Kaif replied. His eyes flirting with all other eyes present in the room.

"You don't have to do that." my legs frost hearing Kashan's voice.

I turned to find him standing beside me.

"Hey." he said still lost in his phone.

"Hey. Unmm.. I was just leaving. I won't disturb you guys anymore." I said hurriedly. I knew they were their for annual inspection.

"Okay. Kaif will drive you back home." he ordered dialing a number.

"No, please don't bother. My chauffeur is waiting outside." I said picking up my bag. Kashan nodded before leaving me with Kaif.

"You sure? Because I had already refused to work with your idiot today." Kaif smiled. His smile was also a bit disturbed today.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked.

"I stared at the mirror for too long today. I guess I'm allured by my eyes myself." he mocked and I finally gave out a slight laugh.

"Princess, keep smiling. It really means a lot to some people." he added.

"I know." I hugged him before leaving.

Kaif had faced so much too, but he never complained. Although his eyes never denied the injustice that he had to go through.

I reached back home to the news that I had to go engagement shopping with my mother. I was a fashion freak back in time, these days I hardly cared.

"Waraina, are you ready?" my mother stormed into my room. I picked up my scarf and simply nodded.

"Let's go." she said.

An hour later we arrived to our destination. She picked up several gowns for me but to me all of them appeared the same. I guess I wasn't paying much attention else I would have got myself out of the situation. My whole day got wasted and the final result were the unneccessary dresses that she bought for herself while I couldn't get anything.

I sat inside the car and putting on my earphones pretended to fall asleep.

A few minutes later we arrived at a place that I had abandoned three years back. My mother had used her opportunity to bring me back to Kashan's home. She knew I would never agree to visit the place by my own.

"Why would you do this?" I asked.

"Kashan's grand mother wants to see you." she replied.

I sighed getting out of the car and slowly walked inside the bungalow with my mother. I greeted his parents and his grandparents.

"Finally the princess decided to shower our house with the blessings of her footprints." Usman uncle said hugging me. I faked a smile but even if dropped down as I saw Kashan walk past me. He greeted my mother and went back to his room ignoring me.

"How are you Waraina?" Grandma asked me.

"I'm fine your highness. How are you?" I smiled. Although they no longer carry the reign, but the fact can never be ignored that she was once our Queen.

"I'm doing great. Come sit with me." she said tapping the seat beside her sofa. I nodded and followed her command.
