Lost... Without You

Chapter 11: Tension

Amber's POV

I was extremely nervous. Jimmy had picked me up around 10 to take me with him to hang out with the rest of the band at the studio.

Not only was I nervous because there were so many men there, but also because I had not spoken to Brian since the night that I left him onmy doorstep.

Jimmy could tell something was up with my. He reached over from the drivers side and grabbed my hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. This was absolutely pathetic. Why did I have to be this way..

"It'll be alright. You won't be the only girl there. Zacky's girlfriend Bailey will be there too." he smiled wide.

Well, that was a relief. Maybe it wasnt going to be so bad after all.

When we arrived at the studio, I got out of the car and my stomache tightened. But, Jimmy was right there. He put his arm around my shoulders and began to lead me towards the door.

I was so glad that I had Jimmy. He knew how to handle my quirks, and I was very happy about that.

We walked in, and immediately I heard laughter. As we turned the corner, I saw that Matt was in the voice booth, Zacky and a girl I assumed was Bailey were sitting on the couch. Johnny was sitting in a chair next to them, but Brian was nowhere to be found.

Bailey saw us before anyone else and jumped to greet us.

"Hi! I'm Bailey!" she smiled and hugged me. I was a little surprised, but hugged her back.

She pulled back and then hugged Jimmy. "Jimmy! I missed you!"

He laughed and lifted her up. "I missed you too Bay! What's it been? Two days?"

She grinned big, "About that."

He pointed at me, "This is Amber, my bestie." he laughed as he grabbed my hand.

"Well Amber, it's very nice to meet you! Come and sit with me and tell me about you!"

She grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the couch, where Zacky smiled at me as I sat down.

"Hey Amber. It's good to see you again."

"You too, Zacky."

Bailey started telling me all about her. She talked so fast, I had to struggle to keep up. But I caught mostv of it.

She was a very pretty girl, with black hair and blue eyes. She had some random tattoos all over her arms. I was jealous. I had always wanted to get a tattoo, but I never had the courage.

I knew that I was going to like this bubbly girl.

Brian's POV

I had gone out for a smoke, when I heard Bailey. She was small, but very loud.

"Jimmy!! I missed you!"

Then I heard Jimmy's response

"I missed you too Bay!! What's it been? Two days?"

"About that." she laughed.

Jimmy laughed as well, then I heard, "This is Amber, my bestie."

I coughed up the smoke I inhaled when I heard her name.

What was she doing here?

I coughed a bit more then rubbed the back of my neck.

Well, she hasn't said one word to me since that night.

I straightened. Why was I getting all bent out of shape? This was MY studio. She was just a guest.

I didn't have to talk to her if she wasn't going to talk to me.

I huffed the last bit of smoke and dropped my cigarette and put it out with my foot.

I went back inside.

Amber's POV

Bailey was just finishing her story when I heard a door in the back slam.

In walked Brian. He didn't look the same.. He seemed like he was glaring at everything.

"Vengeance, get over here. We have to work on the intro." he grabbed his guitar and sat down. He began playing.

"C'mon!" he yelled. Zacky looked over at me and Bailey, then went over and sat next to Brian.

The man playing his guitar was not the Synyster Gates I had met. He was upset. Angry. And it was my fault.

I sighed.

"Hey, Amber, what would you say to a bit of shopping?" Bailey said to get my attention.

I shrugged. I wasn't big on shopping.. I never have been.

"I don't know.."

"Just come out with me for a day! We can get away from the guys, just have a girls day! And after shopping, we could get some dinner!" she grabbed both my hands. "Pleeeeeaaase???" she gave me the puppy look.

I smiled a little. It was very tense in here. I didn't want to be around Brian when he was like this...

"Alright, I'm in."

She jumped up. "Yay!! "Let's go!"

She ran over to kiss Zacky on the cheek. "Be home later baby."

She came back and grabbed my arm and led me to the door. "Bye bye boys!!"

We walked out. I felt stares on my back. One in particular...
