'ITS TIME TO GET UPPPPPP!" my One Direction alarmed blared and I nearly had a heart attack. No matter how many times I used it, it still made me nearly die when I woke up.
I rolled out of bed and cursed.
It was my first official day at Aurora Falls Highschool.
Yesterday, Dad and I finally settled in, so everything was where it needed to be. It would still take time for me to learn how to use the shower though.
Since everything is about first impressions, I decided to make myself look nice instead of looking like the potato I did in New Mexico.
I carefully planned out my outfit:
Dark denim skinny jeans that made my butt look good, a purple blouse with a floral scarf, gold bangles, peacock feather earrings, and Native American fringed brown leather ankle booties that made me 5'5 instead of 5'3.
I straightened my black hair so that it fell to my elbows, and added a slight wave to them. I then applied foundation, pink blush, a gold shimmer eyeshadow, black eyeliner, and black mascara making my green eyes pop.
I smiled at my reflection, thenlooked at the photo frame of my 8 best friends and I. With a sad smile, I whispered, "Wish me luck."
I grabbed my brown messenger bag and headed out the door, a s'more poptart in hand.
I drove to school, my stomach in knots. From what Haley told me, the thing between Tara and I is already well known around the school.
As I parked into an empty space, I swallowed up all my negative thoughts and walked into the school. People stared and whispered as I walked.
'Happy thoughts, happy thoughts' I thought, holding my head up high
"Dani!" I heard someone yell, I turned around to see Haley running over to me in a white off the shoulder top, her blonde hair thick and curly, light wash skinnys, and black heels. She looked like a model.
"Haley!" I breathed a sigh of relief. Finally someone to take some pressure off my shoulders
"Welcome to Aurora Falls Highschool!" She held out her hands and wiggled her fingertips
I snorted, "Thanks," I lowered my voice, "You were right about the whole stuff-spreading-fast thing..."
"Oh yeah, don't worry about it. I heard good things actually. You're basically the new confident pretty toy everyone wants to play with." She popped her pink bubblegum
"Mmm," Well that was nice to know, "Er- can you help me find Locker..2673?" I added
"Not far down from mine!" She grinned and grabbed my wrist, dragging me down the hall
I looked around seeing I pasted the gym and library. I saw a couple of stares from people and more whispers. I just rolled my eyes.
"Locker 2673!" She smiled wide, "Mine is the locker to the right of the library." She pointed down the hall
"Cool. Thanks so much Haley." I couldn't thank her enough
"Ay, don't mention it." She winked, "Sit with me at lunch, kay?"
"Sounds cool!" I waved to her as I watched her walk down the hallway. It was nice to have a friend. I unloaded my books into my locker, and looked back at my schedule.
