Margo, Antonio, Melissa, and Angel were all together laughing and talking about last night, prom. They kept throwing around comments like 'Last night was so awesome!' and 'Prom was such a magical night...'
Then, everyone went silent. Walking down the hall, was a new girl. Usually, new kids didn't like attention drawn to them, but this girl seemed to be enjoying the spotlight.
She had blond hair, sunglasses on her head, an orange shirt with a white sleeveless blazer, and a black skirt.
She walked up to a boy with glasses and said, "Hey, do you know where room 18 is?"
He was speechless as first, but then answered, "Uh...ya its over there...". He pointed. She looked to where he was pointing.
She turned back to him amd said, "Thanks hon! By the way," She leaned a little closer. "I'm Britney." With that, she walked to her class, also known as Margo's class.
Everyone started talking the minute Britney left. Margo rolled her eyes and said, "Ugh, what a flirt."
"Did you see where she walked in?! Its our class!"
"Si! What are we going to do?"
"I'm not sure, but I have a feeling she's not a good person."
"Well duh!"
"I don't have time to deal with her, nor do I want to, but we have to go."
Everyone went inside the class, waiting for the teacher.
When she finally came in, she announced to the class, "Everyone, please welcome Britney Cooper!" Everyone clapped, except for Margo.
"Okay Britney, choose a seat while I go to the office to get some papers."
Britney smiled and said, "Kay!"
Once Mrs. Smith left, she stopped smiling and said, "Wow. Where to sit? Not with you nerds and definitely not in the back! Hmm..." She walked back and forth, Margo glared at her.
Then, she stopped right in front of Antonio's desk and said, "Oh my gosh, has anybody told you you're hotter than the sun?" She twirled her hair.
"Not exactly that, but gracias."
"Ooo, and I love your accent! This is your lucky day, because I just happen to be single!"
"Oh...well I -"
Britney turned to Margo and said, "Excuse me, I'm gonna sit here."
Margo put on a fake smile and said in a positive voice, "Too bad. This seat's taken. And so is he."
Britney leaned in, smiled as well, and whispered, "Looks like there's gonna be a problem with you and me. You should know that when I see something I want, I get it. No matter what."
She whispered back, "And you should know that I'm very protective of my possessions and I do anything and everything to keep it."
"Whatever. I'll just sit behind him! And don't think you'll get off this easy. This isn't over!" She hissed, still whispering. Britney grabbed her purse - styled backpack and sat in the seat behind him.
That moment, Margo realized she needed to make sure Britney stayed away from Antonio at all costs.
After Class
Antonio kept wondering what Britney and Margo were whispering to each other. So, he simply asked.
"Oh, don't you mean Bratney? The girl that was flirting with you? Right in front of my face?"
"Margo, are you jealous?"
"Why would I be jealous of some pretty girl flirting with you?!" She slammed her locker as hard as possible.
"Margo, mi amor, don't worry. I only love you! Forever and always." He grabbed her hands.
"Aww, Antonio..."
"Plus, her beauty is nothing compared to your heart."
Melissa and Angel exchanged glances and said, "Aww!"
Margo and Antonio quickly turned. "Oh, ah...how long have you been here?"
"The whole time!" Melissa answered.
"Please don't tell me you dragged Angel along with you to eavesdrop..."
"Then in that case, I can't say anything."
"Melissa!" Margo, Antonio, and Angel scolded.
Melissa giggled.
