When we got to our beautiful home, which by the way was more beautiful than I had ever remembered, Landon and Antony were awaiting us with open arms. Well, not really. More like crossed arms in an annoyed manner. But what the hell? Right?
Antony gave me a fed up look "Are you two done with your unnecessary extravagances because we really need to save... well... every-fucking-one!"
"Antony! Calm your titties Mr!" My mother hollered.
I looked at her and say a new woman. An evolved woman. The type of woman a little girl should see in her mother the moment she is born. My mother was a little late, but I guess I'll take anything. As long as it's something. As said by someone at some time on some day, I'd rather take something, than nothing at all.
"Queen." Landon interrupted, "If you wouldn't mind. I would like to discuss the crises that is your husband."
"You can say that again," She rolled her eyes.
I looked to my mother, and then to Landon, and then to my mother again, "I think she knows as much as I do. As much as we do."
Landon and Antony just stared, their jaws dropped all the way down to the cold marble floor, "Wwwhhhaaattt???!!!???"
"Don't be so surprised boys, my and my daughter share similar qualities. And one of them is curiosity. When I realized that my husband was acting more attentive than normal I laid it on him."
Antony bent over to me and murmured in my ear, "What is that supposed to mean?"
"I'll tell you exactly what that means pretty boy," My mother waged her eyelashes up and down.
"Mother!"
"What?"
"Stop flirting with my friends."
"Okay..."
"Good."
"Anywho, I asked my husband if he was a robot."
We all had an odd look on our faces.
"And then he blew up," she concluded.
The temperature in the room exceeded room temperature and all our heads exploded with confusion, well, figuratively that is.
"Well, that's quite the spectacle." Landon raised an eye.
"It certainly was. And what a mess it was to clean up too. Nuts and bolts all over the place," she picked a screw up from the ground that she had stepped on, "Heck, I'm still finding them now."
"So," I sneered, "What else do you know that you are not telling us?"
"Well, let us see here. I know my husband was a man-bot. I know the evil queen... oh, what's her name? Oh, that's right, Raven. Raven has to be behind this because of her wildly evil personality. So my real husband must be with her. I believe that is all I know."
"Do you know your husband is plotting to kill you?" Landon said sarcastically, expecting her to know everything. He was wrong.
Her eyes circles back into her head and she fell to the floor in seconds. I rushed to her side and gave Landon an exasperated look.
"What's wrong with her?"
"Do you really think she knew that?"
"Uh... duh! She knows everything!"
"You cannot rely on my mother to handle death like it's a joke, Landon! She's not some insane magician"
"I'm sorry, I just expected that what you said about her was true!"
"I never called my mother an insane magician!"
"No, but you've called her a maniac, a monster, and much much more that I will not go on saying because this conversation right now is wasting my precious time here on Earth! You are the most confusing, insane, neurotic person I have ever met Zofia! Don't you understand that everything you say is hypocritical! Hell, sometimes you're worse than your father."
The room went silent. So silent that you could hear a spec of dust land on a table. My crush on Landon was over. My friendship with Landon was over. We were over.
"Leave Landon. Leave, now."
Antony tended to my mother while I escorted Landon out of the castle.
"Wait, Zofia."
"What."
"I forgot one more thing. You are a motherfucking c-" I slammed the door in his face before he could finish.
My mother awoke to the slamming of the door, "What happened? The last thing I recall is being told I would be murdered. By who, I don't know," my mother patted the grown near her, "Could you tell me who it was? Who is gonna kill me?"
I walked up to my mother and my and Antony sat on either side her.
"Raven and the King, my father, your husband."
Her eyes went white and an ice cold shiver ran up her spine, "The bastard."
That wasn't what I was anticipating my mother to respond with at the moment but y'know, whatever it takes to get her hatred for him out of her system.
"That's right mom. Just take a deep breath. We will defeat him."
