Chapter 6: Fauna

"What in the hey pickin' hell are you doing here fine lady? I don't remember inviting you over..."

"It's Fauna!" I rejoiced.

"Mhm ..." she mumbled awkwardly.

I gave Stef a dirty look. What is that woman's problem? One moment she's happy, then polite, then sturn, and then suspicious! I swear that all happened in less than ten minutes. I don't know, but now to find Antony and Landon.

I began walking towards the next door I saw when I was interrupted by Fauns confusion. "What are you going? I mean... uh... where are you going Zofia?"

"Did you just mix up the words 'what' and 'were'? Well, never mind. I forgot that you couldn't read my mind."

" ... and you think I'm weird..."

"Fauna!"

We then wandered on the Castles upper level together only to spot Landon sitting new to the door in the hallway.

"Why the hell are you all started out like this? What did that damn guard do?"

Landon looked at me with that devilish smirk again, "Honestly Zo, I don't really know. That guard took us to the quote on quote lounge and then... nothing... I simply don't remember anything."

"Well," I stirred, "That's odd."

Steff gave Fauna an odd look, "Do you remember anything?"

"Why, I don't suppose that I do."

We then just stared at each other for about five minutes ominously.

"Okay, let's just go find Antony." Landon finally concluded.

"Yeah."

"Yeah."

"Yeah."

We walked to the third level of the castle and split up so we could cover more ground faster. I went left, Landon went right, Fauna went forwards, and Steffany went backward. Not literally though. She just turned around and went the opposite way of Fauna.

As I walked down the hallway I got this creepy, eerie feel from all the empty rooms of furniture and decor. I don't know what it was but living in a real-life fantasy anything is possible. All the way from hauntings to magic curses. I peeked in the room labeled "101" and saw a little kitten.

"Now what are you doing here little guy?"

"Just hanging."

"The hell? You can talk? Cat's can't talk! Wait... what am I talking about? Of course, they can."

"I'm not a cat idiot." the feline snarled.

"Yes, you are!" I debated.

"I'm a demon."

I just stared at him. Demons don't exist. Not even her, where everything exists. We just don't have religion here. Zero. Zilch. Nota. Non.

"Know your not."

"Yes."

"No!"

"Yes!"

"NO!!"

He stared at me with this odd look. Like he knew more than me. No one knows more than me.

"Holly shit! You are a demon! Only demons are smart Alick's," I concluded.

"Well, that's just a huge judgment of my kind."

"It's true isn't it?"

"Well, yes but, I mean, that still a pretty shity thing to say about anybody," he snarled.

"Still it's true."

He rolled his eyes. Then, I looked over my left shoulder to see Landon walking up to me.

"Did you see? The whole thing goes into a circle," then he noticed kitty here. "Who's that cat?"

"I'm not a cat." he wined in an irritated fashion.

"I found a demon?"

"Are you sure? Is he a smart Alec?"

The demon covered his bloodshot red eyes with his hands, "You're all evil!"

"Look who's talking now kitty?" I sarcastically said.

"I'm a demon you villain!"

He ran off pouting.

"We should probably go apologize." Landon looked to him.

"Yeah, that would be the right thing to do. Now did you find Antony?"

"Haha! No. No, not yet."

"Ok, well let's go find the other two and see if they have found him.
