(Y/N) P.O.V.

Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba.

The quick tapping noise started to get on my nerves as Dudley bounced down the stairs, clearly excited for his birthday.

Bang, Bang, Bang.

And that was Dudley jumping on the stairs, clearly in an effort to annoy both Harry and I. His laughter could be heard as he raced past the cupboard door and into the kitchen.

I could already hear him begin to fuss over how he got one less present than last year. Still, there were 37 new items sitting there, waiting to get destroyed by Dudley and his lack of better judgement. Most of them were much bigger than last year's, as well. I should know, since I had to wrap them.

He should try living in Harry and I's shoes, since we consider ourselves lucky for getting more than just socks for every holiday you can think of.

But of course, not wanting to see their poor little Duddykins upset, Aunt Petunia and Uncle Dursley caved to his whines and pouts, agreeing to get two extra gifts at the zoo's gift shop. That would mean 39 presents in total. What a mummy's boy.

I glance to my left to see my twin brother, Harry, still sound asleep, which I find to be completely unrealistic. It's like he was using magic to block out the obnoxious footsteps, but wizards aren't even real so it doesn't matter.

I jump at the sound of Aunt Petunia banging on our little cubby under the stairs, or what they call a 'room'.

"WAKE UP, (Y/N)! MAKE BREAKFAST, AND DON'T BURN IT THIS TIME! I want today to be perfect for my little snookums," Aunt Petunia screams through the door.

Luckily, there was a lock on the door that they didn't know about, but Harry managed to somehow find it. It's like he can find anything. Just yesterday, he found my lost doll stuck in a corner behind the stove.

"Ugh," I groan silently so that they can't hear me.

I glance to my left again to see that Harry is now awake and is looking at me with his glasses on.

"How long have you been awake?" I ask him.

"Ever since 'make sure it isn't burnt this time'" he replies laughing.

I chuckle lightly also and begin to get up.

"Do you want me to do the cooking today? You seem tired. Were you up all night planning pranks again?" he asks sounding very curious.

"That's for me to know and you to find out," I tease. He just rolls his eyes at my stupid shenanigans. "And if you make breakfast, we'll both get yelled at and at least get a whole day of staying in our room," I add.

"That can actually be a good thing. A day without the Dursleys," he says, making me giggle.

I then proceed to get up and go outside of our 'room' to make breakfast. I made sure it was perfect today so I didn't get yelled at for 'ruining Dudley's birthday'. Like it wasn't already ruined. Besides, I was gonna at least do a simple prank as a form of a birthday present. You know just a little tape at the door so he'll run into it and get stuck, nothing too harmful.

After eating, me and Harry went back to our 'room'. Actually, I'm just gonna call it our cubby, because that's what it really is.

Then I remembered something. If today is Dudley's birthday, then we were going to be staying at Mrs. Figg's house.

I sighed quietly to myself and decided to get dressed while I thought, putting on my usual oversized sweatpants and a large t-shirt that used to be Dudley's before he grew out of it. The one thing that Aunt Petunia bought me were bras, and I was extremely thankful for it.
