My Last Wish

Johnny Who??

" How do you feel about Johnathan being here" Wesley asked as we were waiting in line to get our drinks at Starbucks.

"What do you mean" I reply crossing my arms. There is a secret only Wesley knows since me and Johnny promised not to tell anyone, but my best friend doesn't count. I mean who doesn't tell their best friend everything even when someone told you not to tell anyone.

Wesley gives me that deadly eye look like saying "bitch you know what I'm talking about". "Okay I know what you mean, but I am with Austin now" I reply as we moved forward in line.

Changing topics, hopefully "why is the line always so long in Starbucks" I say hoping he goes along because I really don't want to talk about it.

"This isn't over. So what do you want I'll pay" he said feeling generous. Probably to make me spill the tea. But like I said before I'm with Austin which really doesn't justify why I don't want to talk about it.

Finally it was our turn to order and only waited in line like about 3 minutes "I'll have a venti strawberry acai lemonade and a Grande ultra caramel frappuciono" Wes said to the cashier.

"It will be $9.55" the cashier replied. Wes paid and we sat down to wait for our order.

"Come on Zaylen, something went through your mind when you saw him" he begged for me to tell him something.

Wes really wants to know what went through my mind when I saw him because Johnny and I dated about 10 months and it all started during the summer. We usually like to go on road trips during the summer. And when I mean we, I mean Matthew, Johnny, Wesley and me. Last summer we went to a party (bonfire). Johnny and I went away a little from the party and went to the beach. We sat on the sand and enjoying what mother nature had for us. That night he told me he had feelings towards me.

And I did felt the same way. We secretly dated because we weren't ready to tell anyone, especially my brother. Those ten months were like those romantic fan fiction. The reason why we ended things was because he was accepted in the air force and I didn't want to be a reason why he wouldn't go.

"Hello earth to Zayeln" Wesley said since I zoned out.

"Sorry what did you say" I reply since I just started to remember the memories I had with Johnny. Well not really, I am always thinking about him.

"I said what went through your mind when you saw him" he said again when they call his name for our drinks. He came back and gave me my drink. " Thanks and if I am being honest he doesn't look the same. Well he looks the same but he his more, more... muscular" I said as we walked towards the door and he opens it for me.

"He is in the army so he probably works out everyday. I wish I would do that but then I get lazy, too much homework and then study for finals since we're seniors" he said as we entered his car and headed to school.

We listened to radio on our way to school. It was very silent in the car, all you can hear is the music and Wesley sipping his drink. But in my head all I was hearing how my inervoice was telling me how much I missed Johnny and his smell of cologne which hasn't changed.

"Zaylen where here" Wes said when he arrived at Santa Vista high school. But I couldn't listen to what he was saying since I was just thinking about him until Wes yelled out my name.
