STELLA HAD NO clue how Adam had found her but there he was standing on the other side of her door. They both looked a mess and had shocked expressions on their faces.
"I need you," he whimpered making her open the door wide enough for him to come inside. There was a part of her that doesn't understand why she wanted him still.
She engulfed him into a hug and the two of them clung together like their lives depended on it.
"Please come tomorrow. I need support there. No one understands anymore. Everyone hates me because what I did to you," he sobbed into her shoulder. She held him tighter.
"I'll be there, Adam. I promise, but I won't forgive you. Not yet," she told him earning a nod of understanding.
She led him to the couch and lied him down, putting his head in her lap. That's how the two of them fell asleep that night.
The next day, she escorted him to court ignoring the paparazzi that snapped photos of the two of them holding hands. Stella knew everyone was going to get on her case about it, but she didn't care.
Today was about Adam and she was going to be there for him.
