Sneaking out

Hey! I'm really excited to write this story because jancy is my favorite ship and I think it is still really underrated. So I hope you enjoy this first chapter!

January of 1985

Nancy POV
I am brushing my hair. I start to blush because tonight I am going to Jonathan's house to help him with his chemistry project. I still think about the night at Murray's, and it still makes me blush. I still wonder if he likes me, of course we did kiss and he's been very protective over me. But what if he was just drunk, what if he was just being nice, what if he just felt ba-
I'm leaving for the Grocery store, I'll be back by 8!
"Ok, mom...." I mumble
It's go time. I hear the door shut and head to the basement.
I see Mike and Eleven on the couch talking to each other
"Mike what is she doing here?"
"She, she isn't here..."
"Mike, take El home, wait how is she even here?"
"Hopper is in the driveway stupid. I'll take her now"
"What is "stupid"?"
"Nancy"
"What?"
Nancy kicks Mikes leg
"STOP, go take her so I can go to-...."
Nancy instantly regrets saying what she just said
"Go to where Nancy, lover boy Jonathan.
I'm sure you guys are gonna go make out and then Joyce will find out, and then Will will be scarred even more in life-"
"MIKE! take Eleven to the driveway now"
"Fine.."
"Goodbye, Nancy."
"Bye Eleven"
Then I open the door in the basement and go to my car "
I start seeing goosebumps on my arms and I realize that I really must like Jonathan.
I start to blush even more than I already was.
I then start to drive to his house and before I know it I'm already at the Byers residence.
I walk up to the door and before I even knock Will opens the door.
"Oh, hi Will"
"Hey! Jonathan is in the living room!" I can sense the excitement in his voice
I start to worry Jonathan knows that I like him and he told Will, but what if he thinks I'm weird....
"H- hi Nancy" Jonathan says
"Hey.."
"Come in"
"Thanks" I nervously blurt out for no reason
"So my project is on how I can combine Water and Neon to create -"
I start to drift off listening to his voice
"Do you think I could do that?"
"Uh- uh yeah!" I blurt out of no where
"So how do it start it?" Jonathan asks me
"Well you first put the uh.. um, you know"
"Neon"
"Yes! In a Beaker, just add about a 4th of it"
As he starts to pour it into the beaker I grab his hand without realizing to help him get the right measurement.
He finishes pouring and looks at me
"Thanks"
I start to do that stupid girly laugh that girls do when they see a boy they like
"You- your welcome"
I start to now look like a ripe tomato.
But then something catches me off guard,
I start to see Jonathan blush.
I mean I think I do, maybe it was just my imagination but either way I'm now full on tomato on my face.
"So what's next?"
