Suprise at the door

I woke up very early in the morning, around 7am. I walk downstairs to see mike sitting on the couch watching the Saturday cartoons. And then he looks at me
"N-Nancy! I'm so so sooooo sorry, i didn't mea-" mike blurts out as soon as he sees me
"It's fine Mike, don't worry about it."
And I really don't mind anymore, I have accepted my fate of being single for life
"You want some breakfast?" I ask him as I stuff a cookie in my mouth
"I see you have already got out the cookies so why not that?" Mike suggests
"That's a no" A voice says from the hallway
And as if she is on cue, mom walks in
"Why don't I just make some biscuits and gravy, and I'll make some bacon with it"
"That sounds great mom" I tell her
"Oh honey, are you feeling better about Barb?" My mom asks me
"Oh yeah, I'm better" I say, even though I am still a little sad about Jonathan, I just really need to get over it
1 hour later
I hear a car drive into our driveway
"CRAP, it's Jonathan! Why is he here?!?" I think and then run to my room
I quickly brush my hair and put on some old sweater and jeans from Sam Goody
Then I hear a knock at the door
And I rush down the stairs
I hear my mom say hello and then she calls my name
Not even a second later, I see Jonathan at the door
"Oh, Hey Jonathan" I say in that stupid voice that I do when I'm around him
"So I wanted to show you something, would that be ok Mrs.Wheeler?" Jonathan asked my mom
"That would be great, so why don't you guys head along. But be back by 10 so you can eat breakfast with us Nancy, and you are welcome too Jonathan." My mom tells us
"Come on Nance." Jonathan says
I laugh and go to his car and he starts driving
