Movie Night

As we started driving home it definitely felt a little tense
I didn't know why but it just kinda did
"Sorry.." I randomly said
"For what?" Jonathan asked
"I don't know, I just feel bad about hugging you for no reason, it might have made you feel really awkward." I say
"It's fine Nance, I didn't ..."
he starts to mumble
"You didn't what?" I ask
"M- mind..." he says
I start to blush immensely
He is so adorable I think
30 minutes later
"We're here" Jonathan says
"Oh... ok" I say with clear disappointment on my voice
I start to open the car door
"N-Nance" Jonathan blurts out
I look at him and he starts to lean in
I then start to lean in
"Nancy!" My mother yells
We both jolt back
"Your home just in time for Breakfast! Come on in!" My mother says
"Oh and Jonathan your welcome to breakfast" My mother comments
"I-I'm fine Mrs.Wheeler, but thanks" he responds
"Bye Jonathan" I say with a sad expression on my face
"Bye Nance" He says back
The next day
"The phone is ringing!" I yell
....
Ugh I'll have to get it myself I think
I walk to the phone and to my surprise it's Jonathan
"H-hey Nance.." he says
"Hey" I respond
"I was w-wondering if you would like to come over t-to watch a movie?...." he nervously asks
I start to freak out a little
"Sure, what time?" I ask
"8?" He says
"O-ok I'll be there" I say with a smile on my face
"Bye Nance" he says
"Bye" I say
7:30 pm
I am running around my room like a maniac
"Ugh I'll just wear this, no, this, UGH!" I say annoyed
I then finally decide on an old sweater with a light pink tank top under it and a pair of jeans
And then I leave
"Bye mom! I'm going to the Byers!" I yell
"Ok sweetie, be back by 11" my mom yells back
8:00 pm
I'm red as an apple
"Ughhh, I'm so nervous, and to top it off I'm red as crap" I think
I somewhat get myself together and knock on the door
To my surprise Jonathan opens the door as opposed to Will or Joyce
"Hey!" Jonathan exclaims
"Hi" I say with a grin on my face
"So where are Joyce and Will?"
"Well mom is out of town for tonight to meet up with some of her friends from college and Will is at Dustin's house for a sleepover" Jonathan says
"Oh yeah, my mom dropped off Mike for that." I say
"So what movie do you want to watch?" Jonathan asks me
"Do you have The Breakfast Club?" I ask out of curiosity
"Actually yeah, I think we just got it" He says to my surprise
He puts in the movie and we start watching
9:30 pm
I start to drift off without realizing and eventually fall asleep
10:05 pm
"Nance, you awake?" I hear
My eyes start to open
"Wha- What, is the movie over?" I ask groggily
Jonathan laughs, "yeah, it ended 20 minutes ago"
I then look to see that I am laying on his chest and his arm is wrapped around me
"Oh, I- I'm sorry" I say
"For what?" Jonathan asks
"You know, I'm laying on your chest, I was sleeping on yo-" I say before Jonathan stops me by pulling my chin up to look at his face
"It's fine" he says
I then kiss him for a second and pull away
"I- I'm s-" I begin
Jonathan pulls me back in for a kiss and we stay like that for awhile
We then pull away and I lay back on his chest
"I guess you know that I like you now" I say
"I had an inkling" he says
I giggle
"I like you too Nancy Wheeler" He says
