so this is a couple hours after the last chapter💓

Jonathan and Nancy had just finished work when Jonathan proposes an idea
"Why don't we go to the park and have lunch" Jonathan says
"You mean, like a picnic?" Nancy asks
"Yeah, like a picnic" Jonathan says with a smile on his face
Both of them hop in the car and head to Jonathan's house to get some food and a blanket

On the way there Nancy sees something that catches her attention
"Hey, aren't those grey clouds" Nancy asks
Jonathan looks up
"Yeah, but I don't think they are anything to worry about"
15 minutes later they arrive at the Byers residence and head inside
"So what do you want for lunch?" Jonathan asks
"Um, sandwiches are fine" Nancy says while looking at all the drawings will had made
Jonathan finishes packing the picnic basket when he sees Nancy
"These are really good" Nancy says in awe
"Yeah" Jonathan says while he reaches for Nancy's hand
Nancy holds his hand and gives him a quick kiss
Jonathan blushes
"I guess we should head out now" Nancy says
They start to head out the door when they realize it's raining
"Well I guess we should have been worried about those clouds" Jonathan says with a frown on his face
"I- I'm sorry nance" Jonathan says
A tear starts to form in his eye
"Hey, it's ok" Nancy says
"Why are you so sad?" Nancy asks
"I don't know, it's just we haven't got to spend much time together" Jonathan stutters out
"What do you mean, we see each other at work everyday!" Nancy says in an attempt to comfort him
"Yeah, but like romantic time, as a couple. Time when we're not annoyed with each other or exhausted." Jonathan reply's
Nancy hugs him
"Hey, why don't we just have our picnic here" Nancy suggests
"I think that would be great" Jonathan says
Before Nancy could walk back in Jonathan stutters this out
"I-I love you"
Nancy stops dead in her path
She turns around and kisses him
"I love you too"
They hug and then go to the living room to set up their indoor picnic
