Larry started the car, the radio turning on. It was probably, the worst song to start with given your awkwardness already.
"Oh baby baby how was I supposed to know? That something wasn't riiiiight here?"
You snorted, quickly covering your mouth. Larry groaned, pressing his forehead against the wheel. "I get this song just came out but come on.. it's always on!" Unknowingly, he was tapping his foot to the beat.
"Oh baby, baby, I shouldn't have let you go
And now you're out of sight, yeah"
You raised an eyebrow, snorting a bit. "If you hate it so much, why haven't you changed it?" Though you 100% knew why. You grinned, and he grinned at the same time."It's after this verse-" he said behind his grin, eyeing the road still.
"Show me how want it to be
Tell me baby 'cause I need to know now, oh because"You both headbanged once in sync before belting out at the top of your lungs, Larry taking the background vocals as well.
"My loneliness is killing me (and I)
I must confess I still believe (still believe)
When I'm not with you I lose my mind
Give me a sign
Hit me baby one more time"You both started laughing. It was your thing to do that every-time the song came on. After awhile you two finally made it to the Drive in. Larry parked in a good spot, making sure it pull in backwards so you two could sit in the flatbed of the truck. He started to pile blankets and pillows into the back, arranging neatly, well.. as neat as he could.
"Up we go-" he said as he lifted you up by your waist and hoisted you into the back of the truck. You rolled your eyes as you chuckled, making yourself comfortable. He left to go buy food, leaving you to admire the sights. Many teenage couples were in the audience.Cuddling. Laughing. Kissing.
You started to imagine yourself with Larry in that situation, only to quickly pat your cheeks to wake up from that fantasy. Anyways.. where was he? It had been like 10 minutes and the movie was about to start. You felt yourself get worried
Did he ditch you? No. Don't be stupid, he wouldn't leave his car at least. You sighed, pulling your knees to your chest. All of a sudden, Larry came back- arms full of soda and popcorn. You helped him out by grabbing the food and placing it in the flatbed next to you. He hopped up and made himself comfortable before looking over at you and grinning. Your heart skipped a beat and it finally donned on you. You were trapped. Sure, you were going to see The Parent Trap, but, no. This boy was dangerous. You were in a trap all right.
The Larry Trap.
Quite Frankly? God have mercy on your precious soul.
