-ANOTHER WEEK LATER-

AUTHOR'S P.O.V.

Two weeks, and they were still only friends. Ian kept telling himself that they would get back together in no time...but they didn't. They remained friends. Luckily, it didn't lead to any awkward moments, they just lived together and were best friends. Let's skip all that though and move on...let's move on to a very vital part of the story. So listen closely. For the past week, Ian and Matt had been texting back and forth. Because of this, they became close. Not extremely close but...you know...closer than before. I know what you're thinking and no....they aren't dating. Anyways, back on topic...This specific day, Anthony decided to try and go out on a date, no matter how much it hurt. He needed to at least try to get over Ian. When he told Ian this, Ian kind of went silent and started texting Matt about the situation. So Ian wished him luck and Anthony went off on his date. In the meantime, Matt and Ian decided to meet up because Ian definetly needed some comforting. That's where my point of view ends...now you can see what happened...

IAN'S P.O.V.

I drove to Matt's house, listening to the crappy songs on the radio. No matter how bad they were, I just needed something to take my mind off of Anthony. But I miss him so much....No, Ian! Now's not the time! Anyways, I should go inside now. I remember that Matt told me about some girl that he had over that I would like (not that way, you know). They were just friends. What was her name? Megan? Something like that. I exit my car and walk up to the door before knocking on it. A couple of moments later, Matt opens the door. "Hi," I smile. "Hey there! Come in," He says, stepping aside. I walk into the house and he shuts the door behind me. A girl, with blonde hair and hazel eyes (A/N Shut up. I don't know if they are hazel or brown) walks up behind him. "Hi! I'm Melanie. But everyone usually just calls me Mel," She smiles. "You must be Ian...I'm right...right?" Mel asks. I nod. "Nice to meet you, Mel."

AUTHOR'S P.O.V.

They talked for a while and all of them quickly became some of the best of friends. Sure, it was a short period of time, but they were so much alike that they became friends quickly. It was starting to get dark and Anthony was home already, waiting for Ian. After a while, he texted Ian, just to make sure he was okay: "Dude. Where are you?". Ian's phone vibrates inside of his pocket and he looks at the text before sighing. Just the mention of the name Anthony, could make Ian burst into tears. How do I explain this?...At times, Ian seems completely fine and has control over himself. Other times he has been bottling up his feelings for so long that he could explode if you even touch the wrong subject. "What's wrong Ian?" Melanie asks him. "Nothing....Anthony texted me..." "Your  boyfriend right?" Melanie asks. At that, Ian's eyes tear up. "Oh my god...I'm sorry..I didn't mean to-" "No..no it's-it's fine," Ian says. "Mel. How about you go and make Ian some coffee or something?" Matt suggests. Melanie nods and wanders off to the kitchen which is a whole other part of the house. Ian's face is blank, but tears run down his cheeks. "Ian..." Matt mumbles before pulling him into an embrace, trying to comfort him. Ian hesitantly wraps his arms around him and thinks about Anthony. He imagined Matt being Anthony and nothing else. He couldn't deny that he missed the way that Anthony's arms wrapped around him. They pull away from the hug and Melanie comes back with a mug full of hot chocolate. "Sorry. You didn't have any coffee, so I got the next best thing," She apologizes, handing him the mug before sitting on the chair like before. Matt grabs a blanket from underneath the couch and puts it around Ian's shoulders, keeping his arm there as well. After Ian is calmed down a bit, they start to talk. "So what happened between you and Anthony?" Matt asks.

-AFTER EXPLANATION-

"The worst part about all of this is I still can't get over him..." Ian finishes before taking a sip of hot chocolate. "That fucker!" Melanie exclaims. "He's not worth your time if he's gonna say stuff to you like that," Matt tells him. "Like I said...I still can't get over him...I wish I could," Ian says, whilst thinking "My brain is making sense, my heart just isn't following."
