Alfred pouted. "I'm sorry Artie~ Please don't be mad at me." He preformed his best puppy dog face and scooted a little closer to Arthur.
No matter how hard he tried, Arthur just couldn't say no when Alfred looked like that. He smiled and shook his head. "It's alright. I'm not mad." He said while ruffling Alfred's hair.
Alfred smiled happily and hugged Arthur. "Okay good. I don't want you to be mad at me."
"I'm not, now bug off." Arthur said while lightly pushing Alfred away. Arthur resumed his usual uptight manner and wiped the smile off his face.
Alfred pouted slightly. "I like it better when you smile." He said while standing up and offering a hand.
"Well I really have no reason to smile when I'm around you." Arthur said coldly. He swatted away Alfred's hand and tried to stand on his injured leg. Right when he put any weight on his leg, Arthur winced and fell forward.
Alfred quickly caught Arthur. He almost fell over but managed to keep his balance and keep Arthur steady. "I don't understand why you always try to push me away..." Alfred mumbled sadly while looking at the wall but making sure to keep Arthur steady.
"Because I dont need anyone to help me." Arthur said. He pushed Alfred away from him only to fall to the ground.
Alfred had finally had enough. "All I ever do is try to help you... And I only do it because you are the only one who I thought liked me... I guess I was wrong though. You just hate me like everyone else." After that was said Alfred rushed out of the house. He made his wings appear, completely forgetting about his feathers falling out, and quickly flew away as fast as he could, feathers trailing down behind.
Arthur tried to push himself up but ended up back on the ground. His vision became blurry as he held a hand out, trying to reach the door. The pain was too much. He had to get to his spell book. There had to be something that could help him, but he was too far away and didn't have enough energy to move any farther. "A-Alfred..." Arthur said weakly. " I'm.... s-sorry. " He barely got the words out before everything went black.
Alfred stopped midair and spun around quickly. "N-No... I swear I heard Arthur.... " He continued to spin around quickly. "W-What if he is hurt...."
Like he cares about you... A voice in his head said.
"NO! Shut up he does care!"
If he cared then why did he say those things to you?
Alfred smirked. "He said them because he cares." He then flew back to Arthur's house as quickly as he could.
W-where am I? Arthur stood perfectly still and looked around in the darkness. After a few seconds his eyes finally adjusted enough to see where he was. His eyes widened in horror and his heart began beating quickly. "This is... no it can't be.." He couldnt believe what he was seeing. He was in his childhood home. Or at least what was left of it. It had burnt down when he was seven. He was at a friend's house that night and came home to find briliant red flames engulfing the entire building. It took his house and his mother along with it. "P-please, sir, i'll give you a-anything just please d-don't hurt me." A woman's voice broke Arthur's thoughts. He looked towards the direction it was coming from and saw a girl tied to a chair. Her hair was a mess and her whole body was covered in bruises and blood. Arthur tried to move towards her but something was holding him back. He couldn't move or speak. His body began to move on it's own. It raised a knife up to the woman's face and slowly dragged it across her cheek, down towards her neck. Arthur tried to close his eyes but he was being forced to watch. He had to sit and do nothing as an innocent woman was being murdered. By him. Once the knife reached her neck, she stopped screaming and instead began to gasp for air. She was chocking on her own blood. Arthur watched in horror as the light in the girl's eyes slowly faded away. He tried to scream over and over again but nothing was working. Right when he felt like his head was going to explode, everything faded into darkness.
Alfred finally reached Arthur's house. He knocked on the door, and when he didn't get an answer he banged on it. "Arthur come open the door!" He screamed. When he didn't get and answer he pulled up his sleeves and backed up. He then charged at the door and slammed his shoulder into it which cause the door to break open. He stumbled into Arthur's room to see the Brit on the ground, gasping for air. Alfred ran to his friend and dropped to the ground next to him. Alfred began to shake Arthur. "Arthur wake up! It's just a dream. Come on wake up please." He started to cry slightly and continued to shake the flailing Brit.
Arthur jolted awake at the sound of someone talking to him. He glanced at the person holding him and saw something that should be in a horror movie. He screamed and tried to push the thing away, but he was being held too tightly.
Alfred grabbed Arthur's face in his hand and looked into his green eyes. "Arthur calm down. It was a nightmare, you are okay now. Just relax and think about something else or listen to my voice. Don't think about your dream, just listen to me." He did his best to try and calm down the obviously scared Brit.
Arthur blinked a few times and his vision came into focus. Alfred was sitting in front of him with worry in his eyes. Arthur felt tears stream down his face and he pulled Alfred into a hug. "I was... so scared..." He said in between breaths. Arthur griped Alfred's shirt as he buried his face into the Amrican's chest. He didn't care how much he was crying, he was just glad that it was all a dream and Alfred had come back.
