"SON OF Abitch!" Lizzie shouts as she's hit in the side of the head with a pillow harshly.
Hope laughs loudly, smirking as the blonde turns to her with a scowl. She blinks her eyes innocently. "What?"
Lizzie narrows her eyes. "You better not have thrown that pillow at me."
Hope smiles, leaning back nonchalantly. "I don't know what you're talking about."
Josie looks at Clary, grimacing, waiting for a fight to break out. It's been a long time coming. "Do you think they'll kill each other?"
Clary tilts her head. "No...?" She answers hesitantly.
The brunette puts a hand over her face before looking at her twin and Hope. She loves both of them—she doesn't want to see them fight. "Guys..."
Lizzie stands, not sparing her sister a glance before she grabs a pillow and hits Hope upside the head, making her fall back onto the bed.
Clary and Josie both grimace when they notice Hope's eyes glowing gold as she growls.
Before Hope can pounce on Lizzie, Josie stands, muttering a quick spell under her breath. A pillow flies at Hope, hitting her on the back of the head.
She sends a smile to Hope when the hybrid turns to her, but it looks more like a grimace. "Sorry...?"
"Apology not accepted," Hope says in reply, flinging a pillow at Josie, hitting her in the stomach. She shrugs, smirking. "Sorry?"
"I think someone is about to get killed," Clary mutters as Josie rushes to pick up a pillow and throw it at Hope.
This starts the pillow fight.
Lizzie flings a pillow at Clary, who holds out a hand quickly, stopping the object mere inches from her face.
She smiles, the pillow flying straight back at Lizzie, who's knocked back by the force of it hitting her.
The blonde huffs, glaring at her best friend. "I hate you," she spits, gripping the pillow in her hand tightly.
Clary walks over to her. "No, you don't." Quickly, she takes the pillow from Lizzie and hurls it at Josie, who screams in surprise.
Lizzie smiles. "Okay, that's true. I could never hate you. You're my best friend."
Clary smirks, only for it to be wiped from her face as a pillow is thrown at her, sending her reeling back a few steps. "Damn you, Hope," she mutters, watching the hybrid high-five Josie. "You're both going down."
She and Lizzie quickly grab a pillow each before rushing at Hope and Josie, who screech and jump over the bed to the other side, away from the two.
"Come back here!" Lizzie shouts, giggling as she pounces onto the bed and swats Hope on the rear-end with a pillow.
Hope squeals, tripping over an object and tumbling roughly to the floor. The other girls laugh loudly, stumbling into one another.
They're home alone today. Charlie let Clary stay home with her friends while Bella had to go to school, something Clary had laughed at.
"Lizzie and I are going to grab some snacks," Clary announces when they calm down from their laughing fit. "How about you guys pick out a couple of movies we can watch on TV, yeah?"
Hope is the one who nods and quickly begins going through the DVDs Clary has in a box beneath her bed.
Clary and Lizzie venture out of the room and downstairs into the kitchen. When they both know they're in the clear, they begin to giggle.
"That was hilarious. I never thought I'd see Hope Mikaelson fall on her face in the middle of a pillow fight." Lizzie smiles widely, shaking her head in disbelief.
Clary chuckles. "Hope is actually pretty clumsy when she forgets she's a friggin' hybrid."
"I can't believe I hated her at one point," Lizzie says, reaching up and grabbing a container of peanut butter while Clary grabs Oreos. "Speaking of Miss Savior Complex, that girl Leah imprinted on her, didn't she?"
Clary turns to her in surprise, raising an eyebrow.
Lizzie mock-glares at her. "I'm not as oblivious as everyone thinks I am."
The redhead smiles. "I know, Liz. You're one of the smartest people I know." She grabs a few cans of Dr. Peppers from the fridge. "And yes, Leah did. But it's complicated. She's been hurt badly, almost as badly as Hope was by he-who-shall-not-be-named."
Lizzie whistles softly. "Damn."
Clary nods slowly. "They both deserve happiness, and they're also both badass females. They'd be perfect for each other. Clearly the universe thought so too."
And it's like the universe answers them as someone knocks on the front door.
The two girls share a look before the redhead walks over to the door, relaxing when she smells the familiar scent.
Clary smiles lightly, mostly confused as she opens the door. "What are you doing here?"
Leah stands there, bouncing on the balls of her feet, looking like she's just run a marathon. Her hair is sticking to her sweaty face, and she's breathing heavily.
"I don't..." She inhales deeply, tensing when she smells the scent that led her to the Swan residence. "She's here?"
Lizzie smirks. "Of course she is." Her smirk only widens as she opens her mouth and shouts, "Hope, get your ass down here!"
Leah freezes completely, not knowing what to do.
Hope clomps down the stairs, her auburn hair flying over her shoulder. She comes to a screeching halt beside them, looking ready to fight. "What happened? Are you alright? What—?" She stops, staring at Leah, who just stands there and blinks at her.
"I, uh, I—" Leah stutters, furrowing her eyebrows and growling softly to herself. "I don't even know what the hell I'm doing. This is stupid and pointless. It'll just end up the way it did before." She shakes her head, moving to walk away from the door.
Lizzie is quick though as she grabs Clary's arm, siphoning from her before she holds out a hand and hauls Leah into the house with magic, simultaneously closing the door behind her and locking it.
Leah's heart pounds in her chest as she stares at the blonde in amazement and surprise. "What the—"
"I'm a witch, Clary's a hybrid, and Hope's a badass tribrid. She's lost a lot, so treat her right or else," Lizzie says quickly before taking Clary's hand and dragging her up the stairs to Josie—who's just standing at the top of the stairs in shock—and pulls both girls into Clary's room and closes the door.
Hope and Leah are left in the living room, staring at the staircase in surprise.
"I never thought I'd hear those words coming out of Lizzie's mouth," Hope mutters before turning to Leah, who sucks in a breath at the sight of her bright blue eyes. She studies the Shifter for a moment, her mind finally clicking in on what's happening. "Oh..." She trails off, her eyes widening.
